Not sure how great the multiplayer experience is though. It only sold a half million copies, and it's not one of the top played games on Live.

I picked it up from Buy.com today. Not an awesome deal but still cheaper than anywhere else. For $17 why not give it a shot?

I owned the game once upon a time, it was surprisingly good. I thought it'd end up as a cheap port. While the controls suffered from what I'm used to (as they will with any console FPS game), it was a surprisingly fun and polished game.

Give it a whirl, at that price it's a good buy.

yeah, it's not bad. the only problem i had with it is i got the pc version and people complained so much about being the test subjects for bugs and stuff (boohoo) that they just didn't play so there were hardly any servers with enough people playing.

Just picked it up for my nephew since his PC can't run UT3 well.

FWIW, I just happened to be listening to the Joystiq Xbox360 podcast and one of the bloggers said he picked up a copy of UTIII and there were only a couple of multiplayer games even going when he went online. And this was at 6PM EST.

FPS I play exclusively for the online play. Could someone also check if this is the norm every night?
