Counter-Strike beats them both by a mile!
Q3 and UT are senseless games...try Counter-Strike and you'll never go back to stupid jump and shoot and spawn and yawn games again.

CS is a REAL game...and it's FREE! A mod (that is played online by more players than Q3 and UT combined) developed by one guy. Just to show that big flashy games (and big game developers) often miss the point about good "GAMEPLAY." I've played CS since beta and is still the best game to date!

It is true that HL-CS isn't as graphically pleasing as UT or Q3... but gamewise it is much enjoyable. CS makes every frag count.

all the games you guys have been mentioning are good 'uns, in general, and each are king to tons of loyal followers. Personally I got burnt out on the Quake and Unreal releases, and randomly gave CS a shot, so to speak. I'm basically recommending that to all you guys that haven't tried it yet. It's not so "atheletic" a feel as Q3 and UT, but it's merits are clear if you give it a chance. After years of FPS, i had gotten really cool about playing... it didn't really make me concentrate or get drawn into the games anymore. CS brought some of that back for me. There's something heart pounding 'bout being one of the last 2 alive, and all the "dead" other players are watching you or your opponent. Check it out to see what I'm talking about. yeah, anyway, Tribes2 oughta be something special, and I read something in a gaming mag while taking a dump about a game coming out in the summer called Planetside. It'll be a persistant FPS, so things will be the same as u left them when u sign back on. We'll see soon enuf what all that's about. PEACE
