For decades, the tiny Marshall Islands has been a stalwart American ally. Its location in the middle of the Pacific Ocean has made it a key strategic outpost for the U.S. military.

With money being the bottom line issue here, I can see where the Marshallese believe they have a better chance of getting more justifiable redress with the Biden admin. than if the Repubs were in charge, especially so if Trump the what's-in-it-for-me transactionalist was to be dealt with. Surely having a Trump resort out there would be part of any deal and that may not be a feasible thing in that part of the pacific, so it seems to me some profit making deal between Trump and China over the Marshall Islands would be where things would end up in that scenario.
