Please help with this problem:
just added another 256 ram to my non thunderbird Athlon 850. After this, the computer has become unstable, crashing and saying there's not enough system RAM. I removed the offending RAM but the problem persists. Despite the fact that I have 512 Mb of RAM already. Also, added a surge protector. Could that be the problem?
When I first loaded the ram, it only recognized a portion of it, then all of it after reboot. Any attempt to run a graphics or other heavy memory program causes the computer to "blue Screen" and say that system resources are dangerously low. How can that be? When I right click "my computer" it says 512 Mb ram, 80% system resources free.
Thanks
