Before any of you guys start to say to use Afterburner or any other GPU controlling fan speed controller software, note that there is no fans connected to the PCB of my card.
I have replaced the cooler of my RX 480 using this and it comes with two fans using 4 pins and the pump using 3 pin. Now this is where I don't know what to do, do I put the 3 pin pump into the card and 4 pin in the fan hub(this way though will not change the fan speed dynamically and will change speeds based on the CPU temperature. my CPU temps barely go over 60c while gaming so pump speeds will keep going up non stop) or the other way around with using a pwm fan splitter plugged into the card connecting both fans with the pump on the SYS fan header? same problem though, pump speed will stay very low.
Currently I have a fan hub which I plugged into the CPU fan header and I plugged in all my case fans. 3 pin pump plugged into a SYS fan header and changed it to DC mode in BIOS with fans running full speed by a molex to 2 pins. My only complaint is that it is very loud and the pump is probably running very slowly as it is basing off of the CPU temp. Is there a way I could control ALL of these basing off of my GPU temp? I'm using Fan Xpert II to control my pump and it currently says it's running at "1323" rpm which I think is more than 50% speed.
How do I go about controlling my fan speeds basing off of the GPU temps? it would be amazing if anyone could give me an idea on what I could do. I've tried using SpeedFan but it never detected any of my fans properly saying it's running at 8000 RPM. Thank you everyone in advance! I hope you guys will understand what I mean.
EDIT: I would really prefer if I don't have to plug in any of these into the GPU PCB as I want all the power going to the card, not the fans. It's probably a mere 5 watts or so but who knows what I can do with that.
