credits to dixiechix for pointing this awesome deal out!
"I am not sure if anyone has posted this before, but here is the scoope:
As part of the class action lawsuit settlement, major contact lense manufacturers are now offering rebates on their contact lenses.
If at anytime since January 1, 1988, you or a minor member of your household purchased contact lenses from
Johnson & Johnson Vision Care (also known as Vistakon, i.e., Acuevue)
Bausch & Lomb
and/or CIBA Vision,
You may be eligible to participate in a proposed litigation settlement and receive valuable benefits. Go to http://www.acuvuerebates.com/, register to receive a Benefits Package. In a couple weeks, you should receive the following rebate forms (this is for Acuvue, I am not familiar with other manufacturers):
(1) $50 off purchase of 4 or more boxes of Acuvue contact lenses
(2) $25 off an eye exam
(3) $25 off purchase of furture purchase of 4 or more boxes of Acuvue
The Acuvue 2-week disposables typically sells for about $20/box. So for 4 boxes, you will pay $80-$50=$30. However, if you have VSP and you have contact lense coverage, most of the cost should be covered by VSP. You will then make money off buying contact lenses.
Offer expires 6/30/03. "
I definitely qualify(those bastards jacked my money when I was poor!)
