Hi. I will not post the coupon here. For those of you that ordered from Amazon, you may have noticed your $50 off $200 does not appear on your confirmation e-mail. Your order does not have the $50 coupon applied.

You must contact Amazon.com Customer Service at (800) 201-7575. Give them your order number and the coupon code. They may transfer you to the "Electronics Department" to explain. Since I paid with credit card, they will credit back my account for $50.

One coupon per customer.

i had the same problem after double checking my email
it didn't show the $50.00 coupon but it showed it discounted preconfirmation

Amazon has been having problems like that since it happened to me when I ordered the Rebound with the free battery (basically a $29.99 promotional coupon) but it did not show up in my confirmation email but it did in the screen before you completed your order. You have to contact Amazon to get it fixed.

hmm dunno about you guys.. i just did the netgear router/switch deal posted somewhere here on anandtech.. used the 50 off 200.. and it showed up.. hehe.. worked smoothly! can't wait for my new networking gear! too bad it'll be 8 weeks for $70 in rebates!

Same thing happened to me. I had to call them and ask for them to credit my card back. Happened to my friend and I. It looked ok when we checked out, but the confirmation email and account page didn't show the $50 coupon.

Be careful, the phone person tried to get rid of me by saying item had already shipped. :disgust:

Same thing happened to me. I sent them an email asking what the deal was and got some generic response about promotional certificates. I don't think they even read my email... lol. Thanks a ton for the number, I was getting ready to cancel my order and try it again

*UPDATE - Just called them a few minutes ago and explained what happened. The lady I talked to was real nice and said they would refund the money to my card since I was already charged. Thanks again!

Same thing happened to me and I was using a $10 promo certificate.

I tried to place an order 3 times yesterday and each time it lost the GC.....just tried it again and it worked.

Guess it was a glitch in their system

They wouldn't give me the $50 bucks back but they allow me to order the same item and return the other one... so I lost 10 bucks for return shipping...

If you log into your account and check order status, you can cancel any order (that hasn't shipped) by clicking a button.

Then go back into your cart and buy it again - your coupon will be back there.

Thats what I did and it worked fine this am.

Also got a nice lady who asked for my coupon code, so I gave it to her, and she transferred me to an order specialist.

An even nicer lady picks up and explains the situation saying "It looks like you did successfully entered the code at the initial order but I can't figure out why it didn't reflect on the statement".

Basically, I was charged the full price but I'll get a $50 dollar credit in my account along with an email confirmation.

forcesho, you might want to try calling and see if you can get a different rep. My order shipped yesterday and they said they'll go ahead with the refund.

Same thing happened to me....At first the guy was like "well the item shipped" so he transferred me to an account specialist and she was really cool. She said she would credit my card back 50 dollars. They got something going wrong I think they fixed it though because they took their site down for a little while yesterday.

I think someone who has printed the on-screen checkout totals and the confirmation email should forward them to the attorney general of Washington state. This really seems fraudulent to me. You agree to an order at one price and then they bill you a different amount. The AG of Washington is pretty aggressive. Could also try forwarding to one of the Seattle TV stations (Amazon's HQ is in Seattle). The stations are KOMO, KIRO, and KING. The stations love dot-com screwup stories.

Hmm, I just ordered a panasonic DVD player DVD-RV30 for $230, used $50 off, and it showed up in my confirmation e-mail as a "promotional certificate" FYI. there's also a $50 mail-in rebate from panasonic on this player, shipping is free, not a bad deal...

Anyone try to use this coupon twice? Since their system is screwed up, maybe they aren't monitoring usage closely.

When I spoke to the rep that credited back my CC, he said he would 'cancel' the coupon and credit my CC, since the item already shipped.

I ordered a Pam 111xe, 50.00 off showed at pre checkout, then not on the confirmation mail.
Called when I recieved the confirmation email, and they said that if it was credited to my card incorrectly, they would refund the 50.00.
I checked w/ the credit card provider, and it was billed at 249.00.
Called again this am and spoke with Lisa, and she credited back the 50.00 to my card.
A happy ending, but a pain in the ass.
