So they received the card on the 8th, and today (the 15th), they sent me an email saying repairs are done and that they are shipping it back to me.

Weird thing is that they are not giving me a tracking number or any information on what was wrong. We shall see what happens.

Received my card last night. So almost exactly a 2 week turn around. It's the same card. I don't know what they did to it so I'll stress it out for the next few days and see how it goes. They really give you no details into the process.

And so it begins......

$10 says they didn't do a thing to fix the problem and you'll see the same issue pop up again shortly.

Exactly what Asus did to me too. Sent me the same card back with no summary of a performed repair or anything. Same problems.

EVGA at least sent me a new card, and it worked. It was also a 5 day turn around. They didn't have enough time to actually work on it, so they obviously sent me a refurbished card.

this thread scares me... lol...

i didnt know ASUS became that bad in RMA's.

I also know they have problems with their LED displays and RMA's on that end.

Correct me if im wrong, but on ROG branded equipment, dont they have a different RMA department?

ROG branded had a better rma system back when I went thru rma hell with a motherboard. Mine wasn't ROG. Not shure if holds true today. I skip past Asus offerings now no matter how good the deal.

Sorry to hear that. The sad part is Asus is #1 in mobos and one of the top PC brands and yet they skimp on a couple of bucks with RMA. Don't they realize that once they lose a customer, that's decades of potentially lost revenue for PC parts?

Years and years ago I RMA'd a couple cards to Asus. I had a X1950XT one time and RMA'd it to Asus because it was showed artifacts when loading into windows. First time they sent back the same card, second time they sent back the same card, third time I got lucky because somehow the exact same card returned to me was DOA. They sent out a brand new X1950XTX finally as a replacement.

And that's why you should always go with EVGA. They are fast and reliable. Asus builds good stuff but it stops at the sale, there is nothing more to expect of them. Sadly.

I recently purchased an Asus graphics card and had a bad customer service issue right out of the box.

Don't they realize that once they lose a customer, that's decades of potentially lost revenue for PC parts?
So true. I am looking to buy a monitor and will be building a new computer in the near future. I would have considered Asus products along with all the other reputable manufacturers, now, they are at the very end of that list.
