Kind of like their Z560 deal. They said it won't ship for 3 months. Hopefully they'll ship them within a month like they did last time, or else this will really suck.

Suckers... I ordered a canon s30 from Dell on 4/1 and got it on 4/4. Cost was $426... but I've also got an extra megapixel, and, here's the shocker... have been taking pictures for almost 3 weeks. Sorry, not worth the wait. Peace.

Delayed to 4/16. Got a delay notification e-mail saying it was delayed until 5/3. Ordered another S330 for $310 (shipping date of 5/3). Checked on-line and my shipping date for the first S330 said 4/26. Checked this morning and my first S330 shipped yesterday FedEx next day!

Its about time! Now what to do with the $310 S330 order...

Got the camera - its awesome! Its pretty hefty, makes me feel better about its rigidity though. I've been playing around with it a bit this afternoon, and I'm not dissapointed at all! The video mode is perfect!

Yeah RTC I had a similar ship date and I already gotten my S330. So for those that are very unhappy about it. Just be glad, I mean extremely glad that you got in on this deal coz its not like you get to buy a 399 camera for 287 or whatever price you gotten it for.(plus tax) When it comes you would be impressed. I mean very impressed. And no point dwelling on the subject of Hell sucking big time and what you not going to buy from dell again. All that is just going to take your Hot deal from you. In the end its what you do with your camera that is going to determine how hot this deal is and not how your getting the camera is a pain in the ass.
And this post as I believe is suppose to keep your hopes up as almost half of the S330 were shipped. And remember all those trolls that were around!!! that should account for another like 100-200 or hell maybe even more people.(over 700 post in original thread!!!)
So for now I am a happy camper. And I urge those who placed their order on S330 to be glad and go jump on other hot deal. This one will come before you even know it.


Sorry for the long post. Its just that I had read the entire old post myself and day in day out people are just whining and whinning, it just makes people think that maybe afterall its not that hot but no!!! despite having a 5/22 shipped date I got it on 4/22 when I ordered on 4/1 this is still a hot deal. I just got mine!!! My ETA was pushed back to 4/26, but its here today!!! Havn't used it yet, but first impressions are good. Its a nice camera, a tad bigger than the S110 though. I'm not too sure if I'm gonna keep this one over my S110 or wait till my S200 gets here. The S110 fit in my pocket perfectly, this one is a lil bigger. Good thing is that it'll be easier to hold than the S110. Can never get that thing held straight cuz its so tiny.

BUT: I just checked my order status page, and today it changed! it now has the S330 under "pending items" saying it is "being processed" and should ship by 5/29/02. ok, so that date isn't that pleasant, but if it really is being processed, I'm sure the date is just a grossly conservative estimating by dell to keep things from getting out of hand like with the S200. unforunately, the 8" velcro cable ties I ordered to bump the total order to $400 (so I could use the $50 coupon) are still delayed. I was really hoping I could take a picture of the cable ties, but you win some, you lose some.

anyway, my faith is being restored...

Funny thing, I got this feedback survey from another company hired by Dell for collecting feedback. 2 Days after I filled-out the online survey, they called me and said that they are working on fixing/redesigning the automatic-phone-menu system. I hope they did what they said.

Got my S330, and still waiting for my G2 order for $647.19 from Dell. Ordered on 4/8, shipping will be on 5/7.

Ordered 4/13 and the expected delivery was before 5/29.. I got the camera today. Yea, it's a good size up from my s100.. hmm.. I like the features on this camera. I am not sure if I want to keep this one or wait for the s200 to come in. I ordered one for my sister but I'm sure she would take either at the incredible price. I paid ~311 for my s330 and 289 for s200. The quality seems similar to my s100, the only thing new is really the video feature, which @ 640x480, 4 seconds worth is achieved. 3x optical is a nice feature, but I wonder if the s200 and s330 have same picture quality and video feature? the sound quality is decent.. if not good i think.

To the guys trying to get anything out of DELL CSR: good luck. I know you'll never get any where with them but...good luck.

To the guys complaining about the size of the S330: Exactly how small are your hands? I mean seriously. I opened the box. Took out the CD and manuals trying to find the camera and a thought flashed through my head: Sh!t! it's not there! They forgot to package the camera!!! No!!!! Then I saw the little bubble bag w/ the camera inside. Man this thing is small. It's roughly the size of the battery charger.

And last but not least...to the guys who ordered the S200: Hah haaa!

Shipped 4/22 -> Overnight = came this afternoon.
This camera is cool as hell. Man...gotta get that case and a new CF card.

Everything (except the CF card) is made in Japan. Being such a cheap bastard, I rarely own anything made in Japan heheh... Sick and tire of all those "made in China" and/or "made in Korea" stuff.
