Played with my S330 a bit last night! We went to the DMB concert and I was able to sneak it in. Due, in no small part, to its size. Anyway, here are some pics I took and a vid. It was too dark to use a flash and since I didn't have a tripod, they aren't perfect:

Put it in full auto with the flash off. It was VERY low light, so I was shocked they came out at all! I'm also VERY happy to have the 3x zoom!

hmmm sounds good - now where's MY email??? ughh... hopefully they'll be able to get enough cameras in for everyone who placed orders --- especially since they only had the S200 link up for a short time. stinking Dell cancelled my order and i had to reinstate it. the target ship date they gave me was "on or before 5/31" - well, it better be WAY before 5/31... >: / i wonder what the hold-up is with Canon

samples of the s330@night. they aren't composed as well as i'd like.. but i couldn't see a damn thing on the LCD.... and it wasn't too much better through the optical.

I just came back from Camera World B&M where I was able to see the Canon S330 in person, of course they didn't have the S200 - no one has it yet.

It's definitely NOT pocketable in your jeans/slacks, it would probably fit in your coat pocket but WHY are you going to put such expensive equipment in your pocket anyway?

I don't have small or large hands, I'd say medium hands, the size felt nice. It was an inch or two larger overall than the S110. The weight difference is slightly noticeable. Everyone here had me worried that the S330 was HUGE but it's not.

I'm still glad that I bought the S200 for cheaper, yes it has 1x less zoom but it is smaller/lighter/cheaper than it's bigger cousin. For a beginner photographer like myself the S200 should be perfect.

Now we play the waiting game.

for those of you that ordered a $310 S330, and got it already, I'm guessing your estimated ship date was 5/29...what does your order status page say now that you've gotten it? specifically, does it say that it's shipped, or was it never updated? I'm asking because mine now has the S330 under "pending 5/29" so I'm getting kind of hopeful that it's on it's way

I ordered both... The S330 arrived about a week ago, and the S200 is still at "Call for ETA". Anyways, I was one of the guys bitching about the size. After comparing it to the Fuji Finepix 50i and S110, it's a >tinsy< bit bigger than I want.

Disclaimer: This camera is not >enormous<. This camera is awesome looking. This camera is perfect for a compact camera that you >aren't< planning on stuffing in your pocket and having it bulge out.

Anyways, I'm backing up my statement by getting rid of it. I just offered to sell it to my roomie, but he said he wants to think about it until tomorrow. If he doesn't want it, anyone that wants to pay $334.10 + actual shipping costs is welcome to it. Otherwise, I'll just call up Dell to have them come pick it up. PM if you're interested, and I'll let you know what my roomie decides.
