Hey JokerF15,

Nice site. Just placed order. I'll let you guys know how the SVC Glacial Cooler 68 (GC-68) is on a 1600 XP.

Glad to support one of our own!

<< i think these are quite possibly the best HSF for what they are made for.
anyone agree?
>>

the alpha 8045? i can't agree more. just got mine today and installed it. the cpu temp dropped an incredible 10C with my case panel closed! the HSF i had before was a ThermoEgine w/ the 7k rpm delta fan. Sheesh, that thing was loud.

Just wondering, when adding the Alpha to the cart with the Panaflo fan, does the fan come tailed or not? Because the product page for the fan by itself says it's not tailed.

Hey guys right now i'm running an xp1700 w/soyo dragon plus and the thermaltake 6 which is loud as heck. also running at about 37 celsius.
But what heatsink and fan combo can I buy from this site that will be much quieter but will do its job.

Thanks

i think that glacier is quiet, but go with the alpha if you want serious cooling. basically, if you are getting something with a bigger fan than what you have, it can push more air more quietly. upgrade to something with an 80mm fan like the alpha.

I would like to buy this cooler with an Enermax 39cfm or Panaflo 39cfm or Sunon 39cfm. It doesn't make much difference to me which one it is considering they all have just about the same noice to air ratio. Your site doesn't list which Panaflo that is so I have avoided purchasing it. Can you give us a list of which fans you will be getting in?

<< papst fan! u really can't OC w/ that ? r u sure >>

Sure you can. Just not quite as high as with the others.. But who really cares when they only make 19dba of noise? The Papst is probably the best fan around for those who want silence.

Listed with the heatsink, it shows that it comes with a Panaflo High Volume fan. And if you look under Fans & Fan Accessories, they show the High Volume fan as 39 CFM.

Mage: The Panaflo is H1a. (the 80mm). 39.6 cfm 32dba.

swz: Shipping is 4.30 for priority mail to most places. And it usually takes 3-4 days to get to you, depends when you ordered it during the day.

Joker? Just being dumb here, I know. But what "IS" a Peltier and what is it used for?

Thanks for the info!

The Panaflo Fans come with a 2 pin connection. Easiest way to install them would be cut the wires and put a molex connector. I'm working on getting panaflo tails that convert the 2pin connection to 3 pin.

To check order status go into your account, then order history. It tells you the status of the order. Pending means that the order was received, but it has yet to be shipped. Processing means it's shipped. Delievered means its there! =).

I'm looking into getting the U1a's. They aren't commonly sold, but i'm working out a deal for them.

A peltier is a TEC device. You can read about it at www.overclockers.com

O btw: Got these wireless remotes in, these things are pretty cool =). Control winamp, windows media player or anything! I got a button mapped to At Forums =).

Hello,

Yes there have been horror stories about shipping to canada. I've only had trouble with UPS =). Most of the time USPS is fine. They seem to get it there quick and no customs hassle.

-JokerF15

I'm sure some canadians can help you out more.

Joker, I have to thank you for the wonderful info page on the Packard Bell remote. I've had one laying around for a while now, and I've been wanting to put it to use. I'll be sure to check your page out in the future for my cooling needs.

Does anyone know what kind of cfm I will need for an XP 1800 or 1900+? I'm not going to overclock and want to pair the fan with the pal8045. I was thinkin the Panaflo FBA08A12L (24cfm, 21dba) cause I'm trying to get a silent system. Also anyone know if the Alpha will fit on an ECS K7vta3? It's not listed as tested on their compatibility page.

Thanks,

I've seen a lot of sites selling heatsinks and fans, but what about shim? My HSF doesn't sit tight on my Celeron 766 CPU. Any advice?
