Just got myself an Alpha PAL8045 for my Soyo K7V Dragon+.

All I need is a CPU and DDR memory.

$19 for a 72W peltier?? ZOUNDS!! Maybe I've been out of the TEC loop too long, but it doesn't seem that long ago that 40 watters were going for $25-30. It's a great time to be tweaker.


Joker, do you happen to know if anyone making an epoxy or similar material with good thermal transfer characteristics (without a disperse phase such as silver or ceramics, these can be added later--old gunsmith's trick for bedding recievers). Also, you should sell insulating pads to put on the back of motherboards under the processor to prevent condensation--a closed-cell foam should be perfect.

As far as thermal Compound. If you're talking about the compound drying up? Arctic Alumina is supposed to take care of that. Usually you're supposed to reapply AS2 after 3 months, but A.A. can run for much longer. If that's what you're asking.

Actually I'm talking about trying to find a good heat conductor with which I can achieve permanent and semi-permanent bonds, like a thermal glue or something. Would be very conveniant in some situations.

Sadly so, it is recommended that you re-apply AS2 after 3 months. If you monitor your temps you may also notice that your temps raise.

The Volcano 7 is a pretty good hsf combo. It has a variable speed fan on the heatsink. IT monitors the temps, and at 25C it runs slower then it would at 35C. Although some have questioned the actual ratings of the fans, it's pretty decent.

BUT, the Alpha is a better comobo, with teh YStech or hte Panaflo. IT is simply one of the best heatsink sout right now.

The Neon Wire comes with a quick connect clip. So it is already done for you. =).

You connect the Molex connector to the Inverter by soldering the Molex PIns to the Wires that come out from the Inverter. We are currently out of stock on these. Can be found at almost any electronics store. We are scheduled to get them back in in about a week.

If you order lets say 3 feet, it would be one solid 3 feet. We cut them to the size you want .
