Hi xtknight,

Thanks for replying me, I was very confused to know that even LG is using cmo panels. I bought this LG monitor just because of the LG.PHILIPS panel. Do you know anything about LG lcd monitors? they use lg.philips panels or they also use third party panels.

Do you think you can tell me your idea about my L194WT panel, what brand the panel might be.

Thanks for replying me once again, Take care,

Sorry for the last response.

LG monitors themselves generally use LG Philips panels, but yes they can use CMO. I don't know what the L194WT uses. (Perhaps something by Chunghwa Picture Tubes, also.)

AFAIK it's just a marketing thing. Different than the 3000:1 unit, probably not...

I got new L226WTQ yesterday.

Contrast : 5000:1 (Dont know how different it is from 3000:1)

Firmware version : 2.10
Manufacture date : Oct 07
Panel : LPL

No ghosting, No backlight bleeding, No dead pixels. Simply perfect.

Hi Guys, I bought the LG L226WTQ (5000:1) a week back. There seems to be ghosting on my screen when i watch movies. Its looks like the picture is cut into half and the clarity also is not good. I do not have games to test it out.
I use the f-engine as Text. Others are simply very bad.

Monitor Info:
Firmware version : 2.10
Manufacture date : 071024
Panel : LPL22W 4L

I even changed the settings in the service menu to :

CLEAR ETI : NO
AUTO COLOUR : NO
AGAING : ON
PANEL : LPL22W 4L
NNRAM INIT : NO

9300 R108 G106 B128
6500 R128 G128 B112
OFFSET R149 G152 B145
GAIN R 88 G 89 B 98

Please tell me if there are any settings to done here. And help me remove the ghostings.

I also have LG L226WTQ (3000:1)

I was also very dissapointed by its picture in the beginning but I have found the best settings for it -

LG L226WTQ

BRIGHTNESS: 100

CONTRAST : 62

GAMMA : -50

PRESET : sRGB

RED : 59

GREEN : 43 /or 45

BLUE : 62

Windows Vista (perfect white color)

BRIGHTNESS: 100

CONTRAST : 62

GAMMA : -50

PRESET : sRGB

RED : 59

GREEN : 47

BLUE : 62 /or 59

With these settings the monitor gives very good white color and great picture! A have also changed the panel type to - LPL22W 4L in the service menu and I calibrated it with Forte Manager 2.80

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I've had this monitor for 3 years and its suddenly become very bright, high contrast and washed out in appearance. I also found that the adjustment buttons on it no longer work (cant bring up the menu). I wonder if its fixable.
