You probably would have said the same thing about GB before todays game. Seattle's defense isn't as good as last year, but its still the best in the league. Although to be honest I think GB thought the game was in the bag after that last Wilson interception and let up a bit. It actually felt like GB was up by 4 TDs for most of the game.

That being said, I don't think Seattle will play that bad again. I think it'll be a competitive game however it ends up.

Seattle won a 23-17 NFC Championship game going into the Superbowl last year, then followed that up by tearing ass into the Broncos, making them cry like babies, shoving them into a time capsule, and then buried them such that no human could recover them until the year 2079 and when only Tim Tebow's great grandson is allowed to unlock them and declare them the most disappointing team in the History of the National Pillow Fight League (once known as the National Football League).

...just saying that these guys are nuts and who knows (yes, that was a division rival game, so of course defense was tight, but still).

Still, should be a good game--I sure hope it is. I feel the Patriots will pull this one out, but recall that the great Russell Wilson is currently 10-0 against Super Bowl-winning QBs.

I'm still not sure if their receivers are good or bad. They seem undersized and slow. They look awful at times, but they also make a lot of big plays too. Tate looked better in Detroit than he did in Seattle, so maybe its just the offense they run. Kinda seems like a big part of their pass game is just get the ball near the receivers and hope they make a play, which is why they are so 50-50.

Tate looks better in Detroit because he now has 2-3 peeps in the opposing secondary constantly magnetized to Calvin Johnson on every snap.

He never had that kind of field to work with in Seattle. He has godawful hands.

Seattle won?!?!?! After the end zone interception in the 2nd quarter I turned the game off. Who'd a thunk they'd come back!

Stats like that are meant to be broken. They mentioned it during the game and I was thinking STFU about that!

Yeah, they seem like a bunch of number 2 and 3 receivers, but then they make number 1 type plays when they need it most. Their offense is puzzling. The offense sputters a lot. Even Lynch averages 2-3 yard runs most of the time, then he, the receivers or Wilson just explode for big plays. And it doesn't matter if they are going against a bad or good defense.

I watched the whole game and still can't believe it. hahaha

If Seattle plays the way they did yesterday NE is going to kill them.

I don't expect Seattle to play the way they did yesterday.

I'm leaning NE, but the 10-0 doesn't mean anything. Don't want to nit-pick that, but whenever someone mentions that, I'm like "well, Russell is on the bench when the Super-Bowl QB is on the field, so he technically isn't beating the QB...but the opposing defense".

I'm sure, though, that a LOT of meaningless stats are going to be microscope'd all week...perhaps some meaningless nonsense like "Brady is 15-0 in games in which he throws a TD right before the 2-minute warning in the 3rd Quarter -- as long he throws a TD sometime around the 2-minute warning in the 3rd Quarter, the Pats are going to win".

I understand why they're cited, but they really mean nothing.

At some point, people just need to admit they hate the Pats because they can't beat them.

Even John Harbaugh was p'd about that ineligible reciever trick Belichick burned him with.

I can't hate on Bill -- he always seem to think about crap, within the rules, that nobody ever considers doing. I also contribute that to the unlimited leeway he has that 99 percent of NFL coaches don't have.

He's literally the only coach who can do what the heck he wants as far as play-calling goes, and never has to answer for it.

When you're team has made the playoffs for like the last 15 years straight, you tend to get a long leash. Take that with the fact he is like in the top 3 as far as wins (number 1 in the post season) and he can do whatever he pleases. Kraft is fine letting him do all that kind of stuff because they are winning. I imagine if they were going like 8-8 every season, he'd be reigned in a bit, or go somewhere else where he can do what he wants.

But, I do agree people just hate the Pats because they are successful.

I think hes the best coach in the league and I respect the fact that he doesnt suffer fools gladly.

He is an innovator in the sense that he always-or maybe its his assistants-see whats working or whats new from the college game or other teams. He probably got the line stuff he did this year from Saban.

Wish he was the bears coach.

Yep, cannot agree more. Even since he hasn't won a SB in 10 years, the team is ALWAYS a pick to win it.

organizationally they have it right as well outside of Beli

Take the Year Tom Brady ascended. They had JUST spent 10 years and 100 million on drew bledsoe and they ate part of the contract to play the better player. Do you think the bears would have went with the guy NOT making 100 million>? Well this year we didnt.

NE and Seattle play their best players and dont make excuses. Bears waste TWO Damn years on Shae Mclellan because he was a draft pick.

NE top to bottom has an enviable structure. While the coach is a cult of personality they craft amazing rosters and arent afraid to let the wrong people go and the right people stay.

Who has done more with castoffs from other teams?

NE

They'll probably pick up Trent Richardson in the offseason and he'll be a 1500-yard rusher next year.

Nah, what am I saying -- no one can make Trent Richardson a 1500-yard rusher.

Looks like the Pats "under-inflation" accusation is getting some tractio, though it was reported by a bias and obviously butt-hurt source:

http://espn.go.com/boston/nfl/story...atriots-deflated-footballs-indianapolis-colts

Again, don't think it helped in a blowout, had the game been close, perhaps with the Colts losing by 3 or less, then I'd say it matters.

Wow, because I thought this was a joke at first.

Says the refs check the balls before the game. Unless we are to believe the ball boys on the NE sideline were working for the Pats and deflating the balls IN FRONT OF THE ENTIRE STADIUM, this seems very unlikely to be true.

This is literally just another "omg Pats won, they cheated!" silliness.

He is going to Denver and going to prove you wrong! If the scrubs at Baltimore can replace Rice, I'm sure Richardson can be decent!
