Here's an update for anyone still waiting for the rebate from July like I have been:
RebatesHQ had been handling this rebate for Philips. According to Philips, RebatesHQ totally screwed things up and messed up all the customer records which resulting in Philips terminating their contract with them and bringing the whole process in-house. So at this time a lot of rebates haven't been processed yet. When I spoke to Philips they had to reconstruct my submission by verifying my date of purchase and serial number of the drive. Once that was done a case number was assigned to it and resubmitted for payment in another 6 weeks. Here's some names and number of some knowlegable folks there to check with:
1-800-531-0039, enter prompt 5. Ask for Lavada or Lynn. Also, their supervisor Keisha knows what to do to reprocess the rebate. Rhonda in promotions makes the final decisions on getting a check request submitted.
