I called the other night, gave my case number, and they assured me that I'd have the rebate by Jan. 6.

For anyone who missed it, the number is 1-800-531-0039.

Got the same assurance; still no rebate here...called just about every week since I got my case number last year on 10/15/01.

:|Today I have had enough.Philips rebate was sent in in August.Numerous calls to Philips and unanswered emails have made me file complaints with both the BBB and FTC. We need to all file complaints to let Philips know they cannot treat consumers this way.They said another company was handling rebates, but they have had our info for months now, and chose not to pay us money owed.It said on the rebate form 8-10 weeks, not 4-5 months or longer.I will never buy another Philps product again, and I urge all of you to file a complaint with the BBB and FTC.If enough of us complain perhaps we will recieve our rebates.

Once again I urge all of you that have not recieved rebates to flie complaints,at this point it may be the only way we all get our rebates. Philips= b/s, not only for failure to fill rebates, but lack of consumer responce and failure to respond to consumer issues,or simply returning an email from a consumer.Philips sucks.

oh wow..i got thru on the #. long wait on hold tho, but it's a 800 # so i wasnt paying

anyway, the csr said a check was cut for me, but it didnt list when it was cut, if when/IF it was sent out.

has anyone else been told that the check has been cut for them? and how long did it take for the check to arrive after you;ve been told?

Around 12/15 I was told my check was cut and I should get 1st week of January. Nothing yet. On the unrelated issue my Dymo/Buy.com rebate suddenly showed up after they said I was SOL. Check did not bounce.

As a word of encouragement, I finally got a $30 check today from Cendyne for a rebate I mailed in in May 2001.

That is the good news - the BAD NEWS is that IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE $50 !!!

Hrummmph. More correspondence.

Thanks for the info. on emailing Natalia Russ at Philips. Within 2 days she answered my email and said I would get the $40 check within 48 hours. And sure enough I had it in my mailbox that quick. It sure pays to contact the right people. If you contact her be sure to provide: Your name and address and tel. #, Any case or tracking #'s from Perago or Philips, Serial and model #'s of CD-RW.

Sometimes there is light at the end of the tunnel, other than the headlight of the approaching train.

Spoke with a CSR at the beginning of Nov, and finally got the $40 rebate check for the 804 CDRW (and another $20 for a Rhythmic Edge soundcard from BB). The check was authorized in mid-Nov, and send right around Xmas.

At least I have some extra time now to go chasing other delinquent rebates. When will this end? Will you AT'ers quit making me save money this way?

I got a letter in the mail yesterday from Phillips. THought it was my rebate. Nope. But it was a survey about how their Customer Service is because they noticed I had called in.

WOW was that a fun survey to fill out. We'll see if they contact me since I checked the box for follow-up.

Just got mine in the mail today. There was only a single date of 12/28 which I think was when I got a response from Natalie Russ saying that a check would be in the mail within 48 hours. So don't lose hope!

I emailed whoever it was back on 12/17 and got a reply from Natalie askign for my address. I replied to her the same day and never heard back. Emailed her again today and we'll see if I get a response this time.

I am also still waiting for philips $40.00. Called today and was told to wait another month! :Q ha! So I sent an email to natalia.russ@philips.com. I hope that does the trick, thanks for posting the email address.

*edit...wowo that was fast, I also got a reply within 1 hour saying my rebate will be mailed within 48 hours, I think natalia is a robot, but whatever, hope it comes

Finally, finally got the rebate. $40.00, endless phone calls and frustration, 161 days. No other rebate of mine has ever taken over 12 weeks, and I do a ton of them. But I guess since Philips did paid me in the end, I'll forgive them and continue to buy their products...NOT...

Philips truly sucks and I will never buy their crappy products again.

I just an email from Natalia Russ stating my rebate would be mailed in 48 hours!

She is the only person who has even remotely sounded like she wanted to help me with this whole rebate debacle. I applaud her for her efforts.

Lets just hope it comes!

Finally after 5 months,many phone calls,sending 21 emails to the"Important people" at Philips and not one of them would return my emails I filed complaints with the BBB and FTC.I sent a copy of the complaint to Philips as well.This was Philips responce,when forced to comply.


I am checking with my fulfillment house to see when your check was mailed. It should have been mailed out on the 19th of December. If they do not provide me with a mailing date, I am fed-exing a duplicate check to you today. I am so sorry for all the problems you are having!

Got my check right around New Years. I had emailed Natalia Russ, but I just got back an auto-reply "I am out of the office" so I don't know if she had anything to do with it. Maybe they finally mailed everyone's checks? Anyway, Natalia did "respond" asking for my mailing address WHILE the away message was on (when I mailed her my address I got the same "auto-away" reply as well!) I thought that was kind of suspicous but anyway... THANKS for the money finally whoever sent it!

I just feel sorry for all the people who forgot about their rebates. If we have a snowball's chance in hell of getting our rebates, what chance do they have? What could possibly be less than a snowball's chance in hell? Any ideas? I look forward to some creative answers if anyone actually reads this. But to be quite honest, I did get my rebate, also after contacting Natalie Russ. At least someone around there has a freakin' clue what they're doing. Still, I had to remind my brother who had bought one of these, too. I made sure to call him, because I know if I didn't, he would never, ever get his rebate. That's why they did this...because they know after all this time, 80% of the people have forgotten, and since they forgot they won't file FTC or BBB complaints. I'm honestly surprised they didn't try to appease those who DID remember a little faster, because now we've had time to file some of those complaints. Hopefully with any luck, those complaints will get an investigation started, so they can dig up all those rebates that WONT get paid and really screw Philips over for screwing us. I hate Philips, and they're stupid CD writer was mediocre at best to put the icing on the cake!
