I e-mailed Natalia 4 times on 4 rebates. I got the usual "48-hrs" e-mail in return. 3 checks came in 3 days, but the 4th took almost 2 weeks. But, I DID get them ALL ......finally!!

I had given up the hope of getting the rebate long ago until I saw this thread, 1 email and several days late, the check is here, thx all!



BTW:

I checked RebatesHQ.com just now, and it still shows Processing Rebate... We have received all of your required ... blah blah blah, yeah right

I got mine shortly after emailing Natalie also. That appears to be the way to go. Thanks all for the great advice.

thanks guys, i completely forgot about this thing. Heres what happened, i bought it for $70, and it had a $30 and a $40 rebate. The $30 rebate came in a long time ago, and i forgot about the $40 cause i sold the drive the day i got it in a closed box for $70.so i was well off. I read your posts and i say wait a second, i shud have this too, so i sent that woman an email, heres her reply:

>I apologize for the delay. Your check will be mailed out. If you do not receive it by 2/21 please contact me immediately.

Sweet! This will help pay the bills for the new rig i just got for myself

Just got mine after emailing her, did the threat of calling BBB and refused to buy from Philips ever again! Three days later I am $40 dollars even!

Sorry did not see that yeah it took awhile seems the 1st check got lost( whaddayah expect ...postcard checks are going to be lost ) so had to call 3 times to BB in ME and finally got it...lmao...jeebus...been on the "hold" at Philips since 450 pm EST ...finally got someone....the info seems to have been "lost" about my mom's and sis' submissions ..got new case numbers ....550pmEST off the phone

When they told me that (before I found out about contacting Natalie) when I was on the phone, I told them "nope, you won't send it in 6-8 weeks, you're gonna send that damn thing tomorrow, because it's already a few months late". Of course that order didn't get me squat, cause 2 weeks later I still hadn't gotten it, until I wrote Natalie. They can't say it will take 6-8 weeks, and then another 10 more after you call them about the mistake. They obviously have the power to print that check out right away, it doesn't take another 10 weeks to "process" after you bring the mistake to their attention. That takes a lot of nerve for them to even say that BS...all they wanna do is make some more interest off YOUR money before you get it.

I got the $30 rebate on time and then struggled through the process with Natalia to get the $40 rebate... finally. Color me surprised when another $40 rebate check showed up today. Maybe they're finally running the rebate checks or maybe I just got lucky. Whichever it is, I'll take the cash!

I bought the drive For ~$70

Got the $30 MIR
Sold the drive for $65
After a few months, and a few emails/phonecalls, got the $40 MIR
Almost 1 month later, I got a second $40 check from Philips. Pretty sure I haven't bought anything else from them, so this would have to be for the CDRW. Maybe they felt bad, and decided to send me more money for my energy of getting the MIR. Considering that I've made around $100 for this deal, I'm not going to complain too much.

Just got another (second) $40 rebate in the mail. I am seriously considering cashing it for all the trouble I've went through. They are so screwed up. How many others have gotten multiple checks for this rebate?

Take a good look at Armando's post/reply above...let that sink in and you'll realize that this sh*thole of a company is STILL doing their best to screw people over. What would I do? I would consider a second check as interest and penalty for the 6 month 0.00% UNAUTHORIZED LOAN that Philips forcibly borrowed from us. Unfortunately, I've only gotten 1 check from them, but I would deposit as many checks as Philips sends me. The way I look at it: when a company screws me over, and then they make a mistake in my favor, it's the Universe's way of compensating me for the pain and suffering caused by that company. Happened to me with Staples: after nearly being arrested for trying to return an unopened product in a Staples store (long story), they made a $200.00 mistake in my favor. :Q

One caveat: IF Philips put a stop order on any of those checks, you'll get hit with a Stop Payment fee...but I imagine if they had put a stop on any of the checks, they *probably* would have informed you as to which one had a stop payment placed on it.

Hey guys, I got not one.....not two....but three rebate checks from them.
I had the same moral struggle as you guys, and to be perfectly honest, when I got the second check, I fully intended to tear it up. A measly $40 wasn't worth it to me to give Philips ANY reason whatsoever to hassle me in the future. I mean, I think somebody's going to figure this out one of these days, and I didn't want to have to hassle with it.
Besides which, you can make all the excuses you want, but the money doesn't belong to you.

Yes, I think that Philips should've made some sort of gesture to compensate us not only for our time, but for the extreme hassle we had to go through to get these damn things. I mean, they've got one of the worst call centers I've ever had to call, staffed by stupid, irate people that have absolutely regret that they haven't sent you the money they owe you. It wasn't until I went to the Philips web page and e-mailed everyone on it that things started getting taken care of - I tell ya, I couldn't post those e-mail addy's here fast enough!

I mean, even if they would've given us some stupid 10% coupon for a purchase or SOMETHING....anyway, all that being said, when I had an extra 80 bucks in my hot little hands, I caved. Cashed all three checks. Hopefully it won't come back to bite me in the arse later on.
