You cant get this from the online site. Its only a call in, so probably not. Ill reorder this evening and if I actually get the card then I will remove my reseller rating comment.


They probably did negotiate a new price with the suppliers. I am willing to bet around august 20 we will see price drops everywhere considering ATI and NVIDIA will turn up the competitive heat when HL2 nears store shelves after all this doom3 bragging has slowed down.

Just as a reminder. This is only for people who placed backorders before. They require your old order number and ARE checking it to make sure you qualify.

Very class move on their part and confirms what I said earlier about this being a quality company. I assume everybody who rushed off to vent on RR will be post retractions or delete their comments. Lot of companies advertised this low of a price and cancelled...but this appears to be the only one who actually follwed up on our behalf and they deserve tons of credit for that.

Two weeks is not a long time to wait either. Shipping seemed cheaper this time around too...was $5.45 making this $245.12 shipped. That's $20 more than the BB preorder deal.

Just called and they said that since I never actually cancelled my order, I was already good to go. I guess we'll know in a few weeks.

I called as soon as they opened this morning and when I check my account on Provantage.com it now shows my old formerly cancelled order as active. They do ask for credit card info again.

I picked one up at Fry's last week for $397, and would rather hang onto it versus packing it up, driving to Fry's, and waiting in their excruciating long return line, and waiting until the 20th to get the same card from Provantage.

If someone wants my Provantage deal, let me know.

I called the number in the e-mail and the extension got me the sales rep on the note (Debbie V. for me) and when I gave her my order number, she said that I looked good to go because my order was never actually cancelled before. I did NOT have to give my charge number again and nothing's shown up on my statements, so I'm cool with this.

Don't be so hard on amazon. I got the best deal ever from them...3 copies of winXP for $0 each (price error) plus each of them had a $40 MIR. They honored the price and the rebates. I made $120 and got XP for my parents and brothers. Amazon rules!
