TurtleMan, it's real easy to connect the front USB to the mobo. Took me about 5 minutes, only hard part was that they were too small. Just follow your mobo directions and then look at the evercase instructions.

Make sure the pinouts are the same, otherwise you risk burning stuff out. I got a cheap case at a computer fair/meet/show thingy, for a system for my grandma that had front USB ports. The wiring was quite a bit differant than my mobo. But fortunately its easy to change, just get a little straight pin or soemthing like that and work the pins out of the little plastic plug, switch them to where they go, and put them back. Your motherboard manual should have the pinouts for the USB header plug. If it matches, then no work nessasary

Yeah, I thought about getting maybe a promise 100 ata pci card.....or wonder if they have a 133 since aren't the maxtors 133 or are they still 100? Anyway, I'm trying to convince myself to buy the card even though the mb has ata 100 capability.........................................seems if I could just find a longer 80 pin cable with more space between the master and slave plugs, I'd be fine....

I've got questiron about the front USB...

im using an EPOX 8KHA+ motherboard and it has 2 different ground pins for each USB ... the evercase only supplies 1 ground wire per USB slot...

will I fry something if i only hook up one ground pin per USB slot?

Ok, this whole thing with the USB port....

I had just gotten this case about 3 days ago, and my mobo (Nforce 420D) came 2 days ago. It seriously took me less than a minute to hook it up. Its extremely easy because everything lines up together. I'm currently using the front ports and they work nice.

I got the black case with the PS. Im running a XP2000+, a7n266-E, PNY GeForce4 Ti4600, (3) 256mb RAM, DVD, CDR, 120GB SE WD. and so fasr the PS hasn't complained at all.

I butchered my case with my dremel trying to install a "special" window. I went through 2 fiber-glass reinforced cutting wheels and all i got was a 9 inch cut... So, i just did my regular lexan window.

But anyways....

ya.

Thanks CYA

try this again for some help this time:

I bought this case awhile ago put my new Abit KR7A-133Raid MB in it. My question should the mb lay over the last three mounting bubbles, but not line up? I put the mb in the case and it ran for a little bit, i shut it off and now it won't start up, nothing happens, the light on the mb is lit, so it is getting power. i checked the cpu in another mb and it is fine. Did the mb short out? I put it in another case and still nothing. Anyone help me out on this? Is it a bad MB?

Looks like you should have used a matte finish when you painted your CD-RW drive face panel....

Eh, I got tired of the beige drive so I grabbed the closest black spray paint can I could find and it did it... I'll probably redo it someday but its fine for me for now.

'Ya know the same thing happend to me when I swapped out my KR7A-RAID board from one case to another and attempted to boot up. The light on the motherboard was lit but it refused to boot up. After trying everything I could think of, I figured the board somehow shorted out. I ordered the newer KR7A-133RAID version and things are fine. It was actually cheaper than the first version and better too! Paid $88 for it. Your board probably needs to be replaced like mine did. Hope this helps.

I have in there the thermal controlled fan, NON-blinking! Red cathode is on the way for the case.

Rig spec for this case:
Asus pb533-V, expensive as hell mobo!!!!!!!!
p4 1.8A Ghz currently stock, no OCing yet.
2-80 Gig Maxtors
1-40x LiteOn CDRW
1-16X Toshiba DVD
64MB PNY GF3 Vid card
SB Live 5.1+ X-Gamer

Thank god this case is so much lighter, replacing my Antec SX830.

I bought one of those (linkpca) and sold it immediately after hearing that you cannot use the bottom 5.25 drive bay, there's a thread on it.

Did anyone get the black case without the power supply? Does it come Side Case Fan & 2 Removeable HD cages because I don't see it in the description.

I'm buying high speed fans for my case and am curious if this case will fit a 92mm fan for the exhaust? I know I'll have to drill new holes, i'm just curious if it will fit...

This is a beautiful case, PSU is nice as well - Enhance.
The deal is some sort of publicly known secret for some time in particular when you compare this with many web places that sell this same case for 2 times as much.
I guess the design is a little conservative but if you are looking for quality that is the last thing you care about.

Anyone have their PS with this case die on them? Mine I think is making a funny whiring sound (fan in it) and system won't boot up. I thought I saw a "CMOS battery is low" error message a while back when it did work so it might be the MB, but the funny whiring sound I believe came from the PS. I'm gonna call NewEgg CS tomorrow.
