They charged my card within the rebate time and there are two dates on the invoice. Granted they aren't marked for what but it seems simple enough that the first is the order date (within the time) and the second is the shipping date. I also have sent my email confirmation of the purchase with the rebate.

Online is showing $119 on the specials page, $139 on the product page and $119 when you add to cart. There is no mention of a rebate.

How does this work? I've never done a rebate before, it says rebate expires on 9/30 but i just got regular shipping. Do online orders ship with a receipt or is the email confirmation your receipt. Someone please give me a basic explanation and i'll be very grateful thanks!

just got back from city of industry fry's, they had a bunch left.
only 1 or 2 left on the shelf in the hard drive section, but probably ~50 on a pallet in the wide aisle between computer hardware and software.

for those that got the deal before, what is the date that appears on the invoice/packing slip that ships with the order? is it the purchase date or the shipping date?

the current rebate promotion is good between 9/24 and 9/30. i called before placing my order (product was listed as "call for availability") and the CSR said that as long as i ordered during the rebate period it wouldnt matter when the order shipped so long as i got the forms out in time for the postmark. but i dont entirely trust what he's saying since he's not the one processing rebates (and in arguing with the processing center, its my word over the whats shown on the invoice). rather than have to deal with rebate problems, i may cancel my order and just hold onto the 160 gb for $70 that i picked up from staples yesterday.

the customer service rep also told me the same thing. The hard drives are back ordered till mid october or earlier depending on when they get the shipments. I need the storage right now... so i might just get the 160gb from compusa........ I dunno....

Has anyone gotten a rebate from outpost even when they werent able to meet the deadlines?

I ordered one from Outpost late last week, and it was allegedly delivered this morning. At least something was delivered, I'm hoping they sent the drive I ordered. So it looks like at least Outpost has it in stock.

i ordered on Saturday afternoon and got confirmation that it has shipped this morning. when i had called csr said that there were about 250 orders in process so i guess they just got a whole bunch more. at least i dont have to worry about the rebate date since its shipped out before 9/30

They did not send me a rebate notification e-mail but after entering my info on the rebate link (given above), I saw that they recieved it and have the status "Your rebate has been entered and is scheduled for final processing."
