Seeing as the promotion has been going for several weeks and the % has gone up and down several times, I'm guessing this marketing promotion is doing well and should stick around for a while more. I think we'll see 25% again

few days my friend. No worries.

I did get an ebay mail saying "You earned cashback"

as long as you get that, don't worry it just takes a week to get live updated

The ebay message should appear within 1 day. The MS pending cashback statement appears within 1 day of your payment clearing. If not, wait a week then contact support if it's still not there

I don't understand this sometimes - I'm trying to buy from buy.com's ebay store and it specifically states that they ONLY accept paypal, yet when I try to purchase it says the cashback is not eligible because it's asking for a third party checkout instead of ebay/paypal??

gettin worried.... posted here a few days ago about my cashback link/email in my ebay inbox getting a cannot connect to server message..... someone replied here that it took them a while trying too... the server was probably hammered....

but days latter and 100s of more tries (including now at 2:20am pacific time which i think would be the low ebb server wise) same error same not found....

begining to think my link is no good? tried emailing ebay but i know i'll never get a response wonder if i should email microsoft live? wonder what address to use...

no one else has had this happen??

Do you have Road Runner? I couldn't get it to load either, and apparently bunch of RR users have the same problem. You have to turn off redirection or something like that. The instructions are in the original thread, near the top.

Thanks, that resolved the issue. Here is a quote of the fix that worked for me.

If you're a Time Warner Cable/RoadRunner/Bright House Network customer and you're unable to access the Get Cash Back button in My Message to create your account, do this:

1) Goto http://ww23.rr.com/prefs.php (or whatever redirection service is for your area). You can also find this out by typing tracert cashbackaccount.search.live.com on a cmd box and use the IP addresss of the last server hit.
2) Select disable redirection (this is the first option - web address redirection service).

I cannot access my cashback account.

I CAN login to my Live account, but cannot access my cashback account!!

Simple really. Buy.com has it's own checkout procedure that the cashback servers aren't sync'd to. Doesn't have anything to do with accepting PP as payment.

Actually someone just posted on FW that the cached 25% link worked last night and they got the cash back posted this morning. But with MS having 60 days to review it, who knows what will happen.

Ok, I'm trying to figure this out -- how many items can I get cash-back for? From what I'm reading it sounds like 3. I'll take the 3 discounts, but I won't continue to use the service if there are no future discounts. Am I reading the terms of service wrong or do they reset the item cap periodically and let you buy more with the service?
