I just got $1950 in cash back a few days ago, only took a few days to transfer into my paypal account.....but I have it now


Damn, how I wish this deal would come back.

Wow, this is weird. My last cashback transaction is finally available for payment tomorrow. Microsoft just deposited the amount tonight in my PayPal account without me doing a thing. Rewarded the money all on their own with no input from me at all. Strange.

I have a transaction that has been in "Failed" status for over 7 days now...

Numerous emails and a support ticket is getting me nowhere!

I got an HP laptop order (through HP.com) that got screwed up and they had to redo it in the system. Everything on the 25% cashback showed up ok for 2 months. Then a few days before the cash back date they canceled it saying the order was invalid. Now I have to call HP and and MS to clarify this. They better not reset the clock on this.

On the bright side, a laptop order a week before that came through and I already cashed out $140. Now to get the other $140. Any advice is appreciated to those who had to deal with microsoft live cashback customer service.

Well, its not like they not paying anybody. I'm sure it can get straightened out. Maybe theres actually something screwed on the link between your paypal and live account? Did you link more than one ebay account to your live?

Microsoft has been paying out. Its not like you're getting screwed out of a rebate and they're making up some BS excuse of you not including a UPC or something like that..

Here's another story I got.

First few cashbacks went through without any problems.

Next in line didn't get paid after fourteen days. Emailed CS and got a reply that the reason it didn't get paid was I am not a US resident

While I'm still contesting the last cashback, a few more matured and was promptly deposited to my Paypal account.

Glitch? Maybe.

I had 6 total cashbacks for a total of $599.97. Funny how it totals up that way, there were some odd cent and dollar values in there, but that's just how they added up. I only maxed out at $200 on one item.

Anyway..... awesome promotion MS/eBay/PayPal! I got lots of spendy new camera equipment due to this.... including a Canon 5D and 24-105 f/4L IS. Thumbs-up! Do it again with 20% or higher percentage, and I'll buy some more stuff!

Sorry for those having problems. I'm sure they will be figured out eventually.

I received the same email and called paypal customer service...

They said microsoft called them and said the problem was on their end and they were trying to resolve it. Ive had a failed cashback sine Jan. 22nd and numerous emails back and forth to live cashback agents hasnt resolved anything

Im guessing all we can do it sit and wait...

Well hell, my pending cashback is gone, along with the one I got paid back in December. Had this happen one other time and it was restored a couple days later. Let's hope, because my pending one was supposed to be released tomorrow.

I got the same thing. Funny thing is that the cashback in question was my largest amount ($175) and I just had a smaller amount deposited a few days earlier!

My $240 from 5 different purchases finally was approved and showed up in Paypal 2 days later. Still have 1 $14 pending.

i have 2 failed cashbacks. each with 3 failed cashback payments on the day they were supposed to be deposited. ones 180 bucks and the other is... $2.50. looks like microsoft ran out of moneys.

hahaha, my first cashback of $85 should have been available yesterday. it has FAILED four times.. thanks ms

I got the last of my cashback last week. $503 total, including a $199.50 single transaction.

The earlier transactions required me to request the cashback once it was available. One transaction earned instant cashback. The rest were deposited to my Paypal account automatically. All in all, it was a success for me.
