Saturn IS GM, GM started Saturn to basically compete with Honda. It was Saturn and everyone else who copied Honda, not the other way around. Honda started the whole "Sport Compact" trend among American Youths, and every company wanted a piece of it.

damn, i remember the interior looking good from previous pics, but that looks freaking horrible. and i don't like those little mini windows in front of the front doors. reminds me a toyota previa... i can't honestly say i've liked the styling on any new honda in 15 other than the S2000. too bad, because they make good cars otherwise.

new civic seems pretty ugly imo. the sport one shown at the edmunds link seems nice, but all the other ones remind me of a stretched out version of toyota's econobox (cant think of name)

And I'm sure that Honda doesn't copy other manufacturers. Heck they even invented the pickup utility trucks as well with the revolutionary Ridgeline. :roll:

And so what if Saturn is GM. GM actually is making a lot better cars. It seems that you might have a vendetta against American car makers.

The "sport" one you saw at Edmunds is just the Si version, which will be the same body as the standard Civic Coupe (minus that ugly spoiler).

So, the 2006 Civic coupe is looking mighty attractive to me now, 1.8L 140hp engine, >30mpg, etc. I do hope it comes with side curtain and ABS brakes standard, although I have my doubts (Honda has never done that before). I also hope stability control of some kind is available.
