Really? I think that it looks really odd from the side too, but I can't put my finger on it. The doors look too high, the front is kind of blunt/flat, and that C-pillar is funky. I'm sure that it's aerodynamic/slippery, but it looks odd...

Actually i do like the car alot and would consider it if only the front end looks like the Evo.
They changed the headlights and it looks fugly.

It was just a side profile pic of a that I had handy, nothing more. Easier than searching the web for a side profile pic of another car.

Back to the Civic. Doesn't something look odd from the side?

Considering the auto industry is transitioning HP rating to a 3rd party audited process, and the fact that mazda overrated two engines in the past 5 years, maybe you should wait until mazda puts out audited HP numbers before you buy a mazda.

....too bad I wouldn't buy a Mazda3 for the "AWESOME POWER" it most certainly has .

I also wouldn't buy a Civic for performance..or for any reason.

06 SI has been dynoed and they make 200+ HP at the axle easy. It will be interesting to see review numbers.

What is the "axle"? Is that another word for crank?

It should dyno at 170whp, if it makes 200hp at the crank as advertised.

Dunno man. Probably the lack of torque. My car is 2843lbs/160hp, but it timed in at 6.9s.

They need to get their story straight:

Edmunds:

Honda says it'll accelerate to 60 mph in 6.7 seconds

The Car Connection

Honda says the performance numbers are 60 mph in 7.5 seconds

Just read the Insideline article on the new US model Civic, and I just had to make the comment that though the US model looks great compared to the last one, again I think that the euro Civic looks a lot better.

Although I don't really like the hatchback body shape, the euro model is more radical and has nice styling cues missing from the US model, like the integrated-looking headlights, hidden rear door handles and triangular (fake) tailpipes.

The US model is a lot more conservative, though it has the same great looking spaceship interior. Maybe Honda is having such a success with the current model over there that they want to play it safe a bit more than in Europe, where the Civic is far behind the likes of Toyota Corolla and VW Golf in sales.
