Updated Bios = Dead Motherboard

I have a Intel P4 D850GB Motherboard and I tried updating the BIOS. I got the thing to reboot but, when it rebooted, the computer no longer boots. All I see is a black image on my monitor (no signal). I've tried recovery disk but my Floppy doesn't spin @ all. I think my cpu is fried as well because, the BIOS stopped the CPU_fan.

What Can I do now?

If you have to get a new MB I suggest the Gigabyte boards as they have "Dual Bios".. You fry one and you still have one good one.

I agree with orion7144. You are going to have to spend the dough and buy a new mobo. It will be cheaper than trying to fix it almost.

As far as your P4 goes, I doubt you fried it. Don't forget that Intel put some rather strong safeguards on their chips to keep them from killing themselves. Sorry to hear about your motherboard.

hey, just ring them up and ask for another bios rom chip
if anything it will be fun trying to pull out the old chip without destroying your mobo
