Updated this to reflect the new deal @ Dell Home. Till end of today (10/17/02) there's a 15% all S&P, plus there's a stackable 5% off coupon you can find pretty easily to bring the total to $725 w/ free shipping. I know its been posted elsewhere, but figured I might as well update this thread too.

Planar 191M vs. Dell 1900FP - honestly, I'd be happy with either one. After trying each out they're both solid monitors. I've been able to play all sorts of games (though no super-high twich games like UT2k3 or CS) with little ghosting. I've decided to keep the 1900FP based on the look, but if you already have a Planar 191M I'd say stick with that unless it's cheaper for you to return that and get the discounted Dell.

Both this and the Planar have almost same specs in terms of brightness/contrast ratio/ rise/fall times/ etc

But this one scores more due to its less than an inch thin bezel and for someone like me who needs dual monitors and stares at them for 10+ hrs/day, this is the best option.

What video card now to get next ?

They seem to be of very similar quality, but I prefer the Samsung for its awesome looks.

Interesting. I already have the Planar on order. I'm wondering if I should cancel it for the 1900FP.

Whats Dell's return policy on S & P items? Maybe I could order both and compare them myself and keep the one I like.

Bothered me too at first, but it's fine now. Actually looks pretty nice, but I still wish it were logo-less.

i cant get this deal to wokr for me!! I'm in the small business... and i get 20% off, but then it adds Tax and Shipping witch brings my total to $828, how are you guys getting it for $728!!

There's no way around tax in small biz store. The shipping (gound) should be subtracted automatically though.

i'm still not able to get this to work.... shipping is coming out to be $29 for 2nd day business and $39 for 3rd day ground... WTF!! Tax is $64 too..... so the total would be around $790 if i do get free shipping.

How do you know these are the same models? The physical specs do not match exactly:

1900FP Dimensions (WxHxD): 16.39" x 17.18" x 8.2"
191T Physical (WxHxD) 16.4" x 17.7" x 8.2"
