I live in NJ and no tax charged here. Damn I didnt know Amazon was selling it for $799. I would definiltey jump on that instead of the dell if only dell hadnt shipped mine yet....for 3 reasons:
1) Samsung version is rotatable
2) Samsung comes with 3 year warranty vs who knows with Dell
3) Cooler to say you have the samsung than dell...
But, if you had the capability of getting the Dell for $644, you'd still go for the Samsung? Here's one scenario: $899 - 15% discount - $100 (coupon foor previous PC purchase) - $20 Ebates = $644.00. Granted, not everyone would qualify for this rebate. Even if the Dell only has a 1-year warranty, Saving $160 more is definately cool. Plus, the $160 could be put towards a new Radeon 9700.

I was a Best Buy yesterday and they had their Samsung 191T monitor connected to one of their Alienware systems. I wanted so, so bad to play with the Samsung monitor using standard Windows software (Word, Excel, etc.) - however, the Alienware system was running their proprietary demo software on top of Windows XP. The proprietary software needed a password to exit from that application. Rebooting the PC didn't work as the software layer would re-appear. The BB sales staff didn't have a clue of what the password was so I could check out this fine monitor in more detail. Ugh! Well, at least the Alienware software layer did have a few decent games and videos to pick from so I could see the performance of the 191T from that angle. The 191T + ATI 9700 (as was present on the Alienware system) = maximum sweetness. I was just bummed that I couldn't test the combination out with a few applications.
