The one we have at ta.com isn't really up to date. Does anyone have speed page for the current optimized clients..?

Postman, I haven't been able to find one. Looks like we'll have to do it. As I see it, there are 8 optimized clients, and 3 original ones.
Original:
1) Windows GUI
2) Windows SMP
3) Linux
Optimized
Ken_g6s
4) Window's GUI
5) Windows CLI
6) Linux (compiled by Mere Mortal)
7) JBerg 's P4
Statsaholic:
8) Windows (Athlon optimized)
9) Windows (Pentium optimized)
10) Windows (Pentium 2,3,Pro optimized)
11) Windows (AMD K6 optimized)

Additionally, there are different processor classes:
Athlon Classic
Athlon XP/MP/Tbird
Duron
K6 -2
K6-III
Pentium Classic
Pentium MMX
Pentium PRO, II, III, Celeron
Pentium IV

And finally there is the MHz not performance rating.

So if everyone will please report their results, including iterations/sec and average DPs/Day, we can begin to update the speed page.

Hmh, isn't it/sec directly correlating to DP's/day? I seem to remember that ~700k it/sec = 100 DP's/day.

On a P3 866 PC133 (dell POS ) using the windows enhanced gui(#4 on your list i think)

470,000 it/s
I haven't been able to get an accurate DP/day since i had troubles with the client right away and then some punk kid threw the disconnect here at work so the electricity was off all night friday and I didn't notice it until saturday afternoon.

Hope that helps.

I'll report on a Athlon 1.33Ghz(OC'd to 1512) using pc2100 when I get home. I could get some it/s from my xp1600 and 1800 too - but that wouldn't be till late tonight.

Yes it is. I asked for both for 2 reasons.
1) a double check. If the ratio is too far off from the expected, we could query the submittor for new information.
2) Some people may be able to give us DPs/Day and not iterations/sec and vice versa. We could use whatever they give us and use the ratio to provide the other.

I believe we should just concentrate on the optimized clients (ken_g6, MM, statsaholic, JBerg) and forget the stock clients atleast if not more.

Here's what I can add (My other machines are not idle).

Ken_g6 win32 GUI client:
XP1800 = 1,080,000 it/s
Celeron 500 = 274,000 it/s

MM's linux client:
Duron 900 (spitfire) = 640,000 it/s
P3-933 = 512,000 it/s

The client doesn't care about RAM speed nor the varying FSB, so this should be fairly easy. Also all PPro derivative cores should have about the same MHz/it rating, as well as older Athlon Classic/TBird/Durons.

Well here is the report

I have a 1.33ghz t-bird running at 1556Mhz which does 1100000 it/s

Also I have a XP1600 running at 1554Mhz which does 1090000 it/s

I suppose I could clock them back to stock if you need some "stock" readings

CADkindaGUY,
No need to "clock them back to stock". Giving the MHz they are running at, like you did, is exactly what we need.

I'm getting a spreadsheet ready, and will start to post results, real soon now <G>, hopefully later today.

ok, just wanted to remark this - you should only contribute DP's/Day stats if you run 24/7. Since I don't all the time - I can only contribute it's/sec. reasonably.

my Jukebox rig (C-900+512mbPC133) get's around 400'000 it/sec
my DVD-TVR rig (P3-1.13A+512mbPC133) get's around 515'000 it/sec
my Laptop (Transmeta Crusoe 800mhz+256mbPC133) get's around 57'500 it/sec.

my bro's rig (dual P3-600+512mbPC100) get's around 270'000 it/sec
my dad's rig (C-1GA+256mbPC133) get's around 450'000 it/sec

all this is with the basic Windows GUI client.

It should be noted that we need to measure performance by DP's/day, due client differences in it/sec calculation. Easy way to see performance of idle nodes is to use this log analyzer.

upgraded to the new Ken_g6 client.

my Jukebox rig (C-900+512mbPC133) get's around 475'000 it/sec (75'000 bonus)
my DVD-TVR rig (P3-1.13A+512mbPC133) get's around 615'000 it/sec (100'000 bonus)
my Laptop (Transmeta Crusoe 800mhz+256mbPC133) get's around 150'000 it/sec (93'000 bonus)

my bro's rig (dual P3-600+512mbPC100) get's around 325'000 it/sec (50'000 bonus)
my dad's rig (C-1GA+256mbPC133) get's around 535'000 it/sec (95'000 bonus)

i hope this convinces anyone still running just the basic client to upgrade.

that's over 413'000 it/sec that I've gained by upgrading to Ken_g6's optimized client. That's like adding another Celeron 900 rig to my herd. If anyone is still using the basic client - PLEASE UPGRADE. It takes 2 files to be copied to your ECCp-109 directory & THAT'S IT. Just shut it down for 2 secs., copy the new files & re-start the client.

If on average our member's have 3-5 computers - the gains will be as if each person is adding a new computer to their herd. Imagine the possibilities. Please people - upgrade your clients if you haven't already~!
