Tried it at the BB in Laredo, TX... Worked like a charm, free 128 RAM Stick. ^_^. The guy didn't suspect me cause I look like a clueless 13 year-old. I told him that I would try to install the RAM but if I couldn't, that I would bring in my computer. He believed every word of it. I might even have the option to get full refund for the Installation since they didn't do the job.

If you get the right manager, you can get sd and the like.

Deal also worked today at the store on Independence Blvd in Charlotte, NC. They have a few left.

Just found a comment in the k-byte spin-off of this thread regarding a $14.50 price in their current ad.
Page 14 says $14.50 install price with purchase of ram.

I took the $29 deal (+ ~$5 difference for $94.xx kingston 512mb - $90) on Saturday.
Will go back for a price adjustment later today and report my results here.

As pointed out in the other thread, if you go and they say "ok, but install price is not included" -- point out the install price of $14.50.

Just came back from Best Buy after my second run. I was told that the coupon that was sent was a HACKED version and that is was missing the requirement of having to buy a computer, the ram and the installation all on the same receipt. Is the deal dead?

1-888-Bestbuy said the same thing, but it took me 15 minutes to get to someone who knew what they were doing.

Just got off the phone with Best Buy customer care.

They stated that the email should have had 2 pages, the first one had the restrictions saying that you had to purchase with a computer, the second is the coupon that is linked here.

They said that there is nothing left that they can do except document a complaint which I had them do 2 times now.

I was able to get the discount, but the system didn't apply it to the installation price, only the price of the RAM. Now as far as deals go this wasn't too bad; $30 for 512mb of laptop RAM. However, it took me quite a bit of convincing to get the employees to realize that if the system scans in the coupon and accepts the price, then the coupon isn't fake. The district manager sent out a memo saying it was fraudulent, which made things a little complex. Anyway, after 30 minutes of convincing and typical me-like charm I managed to get the RAM and get out the door. Alas, my current system doesn't take 200-pin, but the folks' lappys did. Just a friendly note to any Reno\Carson area ATers: the Carson Valley store should give you no problems about the RAM.

Worked for me without any problem at the Best Buy in Fox Point, WI(Store #654) on the north side of Milwaukee. Went it, asked the kid in the computer parts area if the coupon was valid. He asked his manager, he said i'll override it if it doesn't work on the computer. Picked up a 512 for the lappy, coupon worked without manager having to actually do a thing. I'm gonna have to try this at the Greenfield Bestbuy on the southside tomorrow after work.

I just finished installing my two sticks of 512mb K-byte ram. Using it as we speak of. Walked out with a free $180 and using a fast IBM R51. Couldn't be happier!

It worked out just fine in Bloomington IN. They said that it was only supposed to be with a new computer purchase, but i questioned it and they tried to run the coupon with the purchase of the ram and installation costs and it went through so they said they had to honor the coupon. They were not happy about it, but they did it. Great Find!!!

Dead in West Los Angeles. Stated that coupon was part of 2 pages that stated you have to buy a computer to get discount. Wasn't worth the effort to fight it.

Yesterday i started my evening after work for the HUNT, i got 2 sticks from one best buy they made me go back home and get the laptop, keep in mind there is a 2 stick limit per customer so you are good for 2 sticks if you have 2 coupons.
Then i went back to the other bestbuy who refused to give me the memory over the weekend, but this time i took the Case# OP gave it to us. So the same manager gave me the memory, but i thought by monday they realized it is a real coupon not a fake.
So i ended up with 3 sticks all togather, and please some body tell me how to get a free laptop bag because i could not find any $20 laptop bag in BESTBUY.

My Third Run is today i already got the Laptop Bag from Office Depot for only $6.99 after coupon, they also have a $19 one but it is small for screens under 13". First they call their corporate office to make sure they can price match, manager was really surprised
More run for the memory will be later after noon, i just wanna let people know that they can go to Office Depot also for price match and this coupon will work one person at a time for the laptop bag. Enjoy

Thanks OP! I did this yesterday at the Springfield, MO store. I had to pay $14.50 for the installation but the ram was free. I also got a backpack laptop bag for $10, and a D-Link wireless router which will be $10 after I send in the rebates.

My third Run with my cousin today was the most successfull of all. We grabed 1 bag for $9 after coupon and total of 8 Memory sticks for Free. I love this Coupon i will do my fourth and Fifth Run over the Weekend.

just an fyi for those that paid for installation this week or last...
