I got my GBA early today from Toys-R-Us Thx for the heads up about actually going in and talking to the salesperson. He said he had some reserved for ppl w/ tickets, but they're getting more tomorrow morning, so he let me have one..woohoo...

Anyway, I think I found a pretty good deal w/ Toys-R-Us if you go tomorrow. They have the GBA for $99, plus you get a free shoulder case, and a coupon book. In the coupon book you get a coupon for $5 off any GBA game over 29.98. (the picture on the coupon shows Tony Hawk, but if you read it, it says ANY GBA Game)

They'll PM K-mart's prices for the games, so that's another $5 off each game you get (from what I saw, K-mart's prices were all about $5 lower for each game)... AND, my Toys-R-US here in MI had a $10 off coupon for any purchase over $75 (the sales clerk had that coupon at the reg), so w/ the PM's and coupons, if you were to get 2 games, the GBA, and free shoulder carrying case, you'd save around $25

Good luck everyone, and by the way, Super Mario and Tony Hawk are both excellent! Especially Tony Hawk...they did great job of porting that game over. It takes awhile to get used to the overhead view, but once you do, it's really fun.

Heheh, I noticed that...he had to call the mgr over to override the reg. BUT, he's the one that pointed that coupon out, sooo, who am I to argue? I'm just a poor guy looking for a good price

I can appreciate the excitement over a new product, but I saw my friend's Japanese release of this product and the screen is even worse than the Palm m505! Maybe a toplight will help, but overall, I could barely see the action on the screen.

Yah...I still haven't gotten mine yet, but I've played Mario and F-Zero many times at TRU, EB, and Walmart, and I never had a problem seeing the screen.

The Lightshield Advance or Wormlight must be the key here. I'll definately have to check them out since I'll probably end up getting one (I get excited over new products too).

I just keep thinking about the Palm m505 that I returned because the color screen sucked in dimly lit places (where I spend a lot of time...no troll comments, please..heh heh).

In a brightly lit store like Best Buy or Wal*Mart I'm sure the color screen on this pupppy looks great though.

Is the official release date on 6/11 or 6/13? I keep going to stores like Toysrus, Kmart, Target and they keep telling me that they cant sell until 6/13! By the time I went to EB they were gone! A target rep was telling me that retailers arent supposed to sell until 6/13. Anyone selling earlier was doing so illegaly!

I made the rounds of my local stores on my lunch-hour yesterday, and couldn't find anybody selling the GBA. Toys 'R Us was selling to pre-orders, but that was it.

So I went back to work, and checked bestbuy.com, thinking maybe I might order one online from them. No luck, they weren't taking orders yet. So then I tried circuitcity.com, and they were not only taking orders, but according to their website, I could go and pick it up at my local Circuit City *immediately*. Since I had just been at that store and saw no GBAs or GBA games, I was a little skeptical. But I placed the order, went down there with the printout, and they handed me my GBA without batting an eye.

Now I just have to buy some games for it!

I had ordered a package from Amazon and still not shipped as of this morning. So, I went to Target got the glacier, super mario advance, tony hawk 2 advance, free wallet, free headphones and blues clues for playstation (7.77). Then I signed up for Target card and got 10% off. Got out of the store for 155.00 or thereabouts! I promptly went back to my office and told Amazon to cram their two hundred dollar not-shipped package.
