googlegear also has 2100's for $75 for 512 megs or so. The link is jsut for the 2700 variety. But yeah you should be able to use one of each if you had to.

Whoo Hoo!! Crucial is down to $89.99 for PC2100 and $103.99 for PC2700.

Unfortunately, Crucial also collects sales tax for California residents.

If you ever go to t***bargains.com you would have seen that crucial has dropped prices and has a new 5% off coupon. Their 2700 DDR is 103.99 - 5% coupon(found at your favorite bargains site)= $98.79 with free 2nd day shipping. $10 is a lot or a little depending on the person but I think I might just go ahead and pay the extra to get the quality. I would guess it might have a better chance of doing "the 200 mhz dance?"

And to those who so weakly flamed me. If the facts on that website are wrong and I am such a crack-head, well then this is a hot deal for you? All you have to do is disprove one of his facts and you get a $1000, that's a pretty hot deal. Since you think you're so smart and know what's going on why don't you take up the challenge and earn a $1000 free, instead of being an empty-headed, flag waving piece of cattle. If you do not even consider the possibility of your government doing wrong doing then you are not doing your job as a citizen to keep it in check. Blind faith in your leaders and government is not patriotism, it's called fascism. We are sacrificing all of our freedoms by allowing misnamed pieces of legislation like "The Patriot Act" to trample on the Bill of Rights and Constitution which is what a true patriot cares about. Just ask our founding fathers

"They that can give up liberty to obtain a little temporary safefty deserve neither liberty nor safety." Benjamin Franklin

Yet what we've been doing is giving up our liberties right and left in the name of safety. This is the greatest nation in the world, but not by default. Even though we've been the best, we still have always sought to be better. Since Sept. 11th however it really seems like we've been going backwards. Now the citizens of what was once the most free nation in the world, can have their phones tapped and houses searched without a warrant being issued and can be held without a trial. This goes around the fundamental checks and balances between the judicial and executive branch that were put in place to protect us as citizens. Don't call me uninformed or unpatriotic cause I am neither. I am trying to fight to keep this country great and hoping others will be inspired to do the same. Again, I wouldn't have posted this if I didn't have something relevant to the hot deal to say and sorry for the rant. If you do flame me atleast refute what I'm saying and don't show your ignorance by just insulting me. (i'm sure your amazing wit and mockery would just bring tears to my eyes)

Uhhhh, yeah ... let's stay focused on the RAM, shall we?

Speaking of, I just picked up a stick of Samsung PC2700 333MHz CL 2.5 DDR RAM at Z-Buy.com for $86.76 + 0.99 shipping. Best of all, there is NO SALES TAX for Californians. I believe Z-Buy is located in New York. They also shipped it 3-day FedEx, so it should be here sometime next week.

FYI...

I read the web page. Not one "fact" points to "Bush Knew". Of course there were hints. Of course the CIA is involved in shady stuff, they always have been and always will be. To say that the POTUS jumps right into the worlds largest drug/enron/CIA/oil consipiracy months after entering office is just asinine. Where is the mention of the Tri-lateral comission and black helicopters?

Washington DC is chock full of bumbling govt bees who can't wait to run with the press with the latest scoop. If the last POTUS can't keep the "stained dress" secret away from the public, what makes you think this president can cover up a vast conspiracy to line his pockets and rule the world? I'm sorry, but it doesn't work. Things don't work that way. GW will bow out after 4 or 8 years, and the next devious POTUS will take over with his designs on ruling the world.

Get a grip on reality. Look what 9/11, and the upcoming war on Iraq have done to the economy. Really boosts his election potential there huh? yup georgie did it all so we could return to the good ole days of $.99/gallon gasoline, and he could fund his and his buddies retirement nicely.

I won't argue with you that we are slipping towards a much more conservative set of laws, and personal rights are being eroded. But to argue that Dubya "KNEW" and failed to prevent, shows YOUR ignorance. Save your rhetoric and consipiracy theories for Hollywood. Don't quote our founding fathers...they owned slaves, didn't allow women to vote, and certainly didn't shy away from "political-economical" wars.

How's that, a better flame?

Nice deal, not sure if it is time to jump on it though. I wonder how long until memory prices start to go up again?

Yeah, a couple people that just recently ordered the kingston from google also reported that they got infineon chips instead of the samsung ones that people were getting at the beginning. The question is which one's better for overclocking.
I'm gonna wait just for the prices to drop just a bit more before I take the plunge. I only have 256mb now and feel that it bogs me down a lot of times.

How much lower do we expect 512 DDR to drop? I'd like to pick one up but like everyone else, if the price drops $10 more I'd rather wait.
