This is my dilema too. It has been coming down an average of $1-$2 per day for the last week and a half.

Hmmmmmm..........wait for the deal to get better and save more $$, or strike while the iron is hot before the deal dies.....AAAARRRGGHHH!!!!

Very troubled. I feel like RAMS = Stocks.

Extremely volatile and really depends on whether we are going to war or not. And the moment we go to war, expect two things to happend that is gonna affect my wallet.

1) Ram price
2) Oil price

So now any financial/political analyst here? Give us some advice.

And just like stocks, I am not inclined to buy something that is falling rapidly in price.
I'm thinking I can grab some more bargain ram in a month or so, some more of those
Office Depot Coupon + Rebate deals on some Kingston or some PNY.

I kinda think ram prices will drop a little bit more too, but I'm not sure how much more. Last year when I got the 256 megs of crucial DDR for whatever ridiculous price it was, like $35 or something, all the memory manufacturers were losing money, and it was pretty much a standoff to see who could hang in until the surplus ended. I remember reading that a few manufaturers did close and as a result there probably wouldn't be a surplus like that again(plus the speculation on PC demand was WAY too high and I don't think they'll make that mistake again).

As far as war. We're going and that's that. This is about one thing and one thing only, oil. If you want to know the real story of what's going on follow the link in my sig. The person who does the site is a former LAPD officer who exposed drug corruption in the LAPD and CIA and was forced to retire and has had attempts on his life numerous times. He now devotes his life to uncovering the many lies and power games our goverment has been using for it's own agenda. I might sound like a raving liberal, but check it out. Everything is cited with a source and he is neither Democrat nor Republican. He distrusts them both and has just as much dirt on Clinton as on the Oil friendly Bush administration. It's information that every citizen should about his/her government. I have come to believe by reading his information that the Bush administration had an incredible amount of warning about September 11th and chose to do nothing to gain support for a war in the middle east, where the ultimate objective was Oil and not justice. He used our grief to advance his own agenda and give the company that gave Cheney a $20 million departing gift, their Oil pipeline through the heart of Kabul. So many lives lost for oil and greed.

[edit] sorry for the rant, I know this isn't the place for it. Someone did ask about war ;-), but I should keep this stuff to off topic and will do so in the future[/edit]

If the CIA and other spooky agencies can't kill one "PI" type cop than I don't imagine they can manipulate world affairs.

The Blue card canceled the BVG but I believe the AMEX Gold and higher still have it.

(I see a thread lock coming soon once people start flaming crack-head's post.)

I had the same indecision on the RAM, as well. I was wavering b/t the (512MB) $75 deal on MWave vs. going with the more expensive, but more trusted, Crucial. I bit on the Kingston a couple days ago at $90, since it seemed like a good middle-ground with the lifetime warranty and, besides, I don't OC.

I wanted to wait since most signs lead to pc2700 prices dropping, but my Dell 4550 only had 128 and XP was driving me crazy swapping things left and right.

Looks like everything is starting to Drop. Crucial has PC2700, 512 for only $118.99 and CP2100, 512 for $99. We'll have to keep watching and see hwo low it gets...

Crucial has had those prices for at least a week that I have been watching. I was hoping we would see a new drop sometime this week ... or at least by the 10th.

Still hoping...
