NO MORE FLICKERING / JITTERING AT ALL

have my new 7970 msi lightning ghz edition (3 weeks old or so) was flickering / jittering a little here and there on IE9 and on newegg and cnn websites and others, im using Display port to mini Display port cord 1.2 to my dell U2410, which has never giving me any problems.

BTW: if some of you are wondering about DisplayPort 1.2 cords and if things move FASTER using this cord, I say YES alot more FASTER than DVI / Hdmi cords.

I had my DVI cord too same problem flickering / jittering.

after reading lots of the same problems from lots of sites, and people saying do this do that, which i did, same problems.

now looks like I SOLVED the problem:

heres what i did:

i insatlled beta 13.2 beta5, (which does not mean dick to me on this problem)

i installed Trixx by shaphire, the most easy and simple possible made software for this, went to settings" then "Force Constant Voltage which im at Default to begin with I have this "checked on" and core temp 31c @65% fan on

i have my CCC "Lcd flat panel on overdrive" set to ON set at 105 ......default is 100

NO MORE FLICKERING / JITTERING, im sure the driver was not the problem.

if i was idleing and the core voltage was not stable or constant maybe the force voltage is working, and the LCD overdive set at 5 more up from 100 is helping.

this is just an EXPERIMENT looks like it's working PERFECTLY so far so good it's been hours working absolutly zero problems.

Question:

can anyone say what Happened everything is running smooth and super fast
desktop to IE, BTW: I never had any Jittering or Flickering in any Games or programs at all......just BROWSING INTERNET.

ComeBack...............

all my Gpu is at default:

Glad to hear that you have a functional workaround, in any case.

I wonder if you've checked to see if either the constant voltage or the LCD overdrive are enough to resolve your issue by themselves?

So have you tried using the LCD overdrive without the constant voltage? have you tried the reverse?

If you want to check whether it was the idle clocks that were the issue, you could try to force 3d clocks/voltage while you check if your web browsing then becomes issue-free.

The way I would proceed is:
-Download GPU-Z (useful for it's sensor readings and also to force 3d clocks by using the render test)
-Temporarily disable the tweaks that you made to resolve your problem so far (reset trixx to default, and remove the CCC LCD overdrive)
-Run the GPU-Z render test (it is hidden in the question mark next to the Bus Interface section of the main "Graphics Card" tab).
-Check if the flickering problem still exists when the VGA is in full power mode.

And bonus points to you if you're willing to go the extra distance and download Firefox and check if the problem also exists there while you're at it.

i shut off trixx all together, i uninstalled it, i boosted my Lcd overdrive to 110....default is 100
i did the rendering for about 15 minutes small screen only.
still looks good like you predicted!
what do you think all this flickering was on these cards?

is it true someone is saying the new ATI coming out in 4th quarter is 50% faster the 7970 GHZ edition cards?

thanks for the help my friend
