Sunday Jan 18th

Packers at Seahawks - 3:05pm FOX
Colts at Patriots - 6:04pm CBS

I'm still ridin' with my Colts to the Superbowl pick. If your D is good enough to beat Denver, you got my vote for February.

Your Colts? I suppose they do have more playoff wins in the last 20 years than your team last week. But, if you're going to be a bandwagoner, at least jump on a good one like Brady and Bill. >_>

Seahawks are going to destroy the Packers. Rodgers won't have time to sit in the pocket before the pass rush gets to him and that secondary is going to not give up the big plays Dallas did.

I think NE is going to beat the Colts, but it should be closer than last year.

I really have Seattle as a lock to win the SB again. I think NE stands a chance, but Seattle is on a roll.

lol

But seriously, the Colts are simply a team I don't think no one thinks will make it, and that's why I picked them.

They aren't "my Colts" as if I am a fan of the team (which I am not, btw) but I hate NE, don't really care about Seattle, and can careless about the Packers.

But...I have to pick someone.

I think we might be surprised during the Packers game. IIRC, Rodgers said he avoided Sherman, which is why I think they lost in Week 1...I don't think he's gonna deliberately cut out one side of the field again.

I am just messing with you. The Lions got the last laugh anyone, tweeting the Cowboys about the CJ rule. >_>

I really think Rodgers won't have a good game. Dallas has a middle of the pack at best pass rush. Seattle has a much better one, and a secondary that can hold up if Rodgers does get time.

Seattle & Patriots

This, because I want to see a non-crappy Super Bowl. Any other combo of teams making it wouldn't be nearly as good. Who the hell would want to watch gimpy Rodgers taking on the 2.7 YPC rushing game of the Colts? We see enough shitty games during the year to have the big game be one also.

Colts played a good game today but Denver hasn't been Denver for months. NE has to play better than they did this weekend but so far they've won by an average of 49-22 since Luck has been QB and have averaged over 200 yards rushing in the last two games against them. NE should win but I think Indy can give them a good game as long as Luck doesn't turn the ball over.

If Brady had been playing instead of Manning for Denver today, Denver would have won.

PFM had a 27.9 QB Rating today. DEN would have been better off with Tannenhill, ButtFumble, or most of the other starting QBs in the league.

peyton lost a ton of arm strength this year. I think he has dead arm or an injury.

I give the Packers an outside chance to win in Seattle, certainly a better shot then I give the Colts in New England.

The Colts have been improving steadily since the Patriots smashed them back in November, unfortunately for them the Pats can say the same thing. There's a reason they play the games but while it may not be the blow-out the Nov 16th game was I don't expect it to be close at the end.

If Rodgers were 100% I would give the Packers a decent chance to win this weekend although I would still favor the Hawks. Considering his reduced mobility at this point I'm only giving GB an outside shot and I think Rodgers may be knocked out of the game before its over.

Edit: I said it a ways back ... I think the only team with any shot at beating Seattle this year is the Patriots and I'm standing by it. Frankly though after the amount of trouble they had with the Ravens the I think Hawks pass-rush may be too much for NE to handle.

If the SB isn't Patriots v Seahawks I'll be very surprised. But as a Patriots fan, I'd much rather see the Packers than the Seahawks.

I think it will be the Pats and GB in the SB. I could be wrong, but I feel like the Packers will beat Seattle by at least 14. Pats to win it all.

At least 14? Seattle has lost only once by more than 7 in the last 3 years, and it was this year to the Chargers in week 2.

Although I'll give you that just about anything is possible, my guess is this game goes one of two ways.

One ... Seattle runs over, under and around the Packers offensive line and beats the stuffing out of Rodgers (or takes him out) resulting in a very lopsided Hawks win. I believe this is the most likely outcome.

Two (and what I'm hoping for) its a total back and forth dogfight with the outcome hanging on the final set of downs. This scenario slightly favors GB and Rodgers IMO.

I do agree about one thing though ... NE has a MUCH better chance of beating GB then Seattle.

Just putting that number into context. It can happen, but when they lost to SD this year the margin was 9. Seattle doesn't go down easy.

Ah, the game that really got my hopes up for a good year of Chargers football. They didn't dominate the Seahawks but they controlled the ball and killed the Seahawks by a thousand cuts.

Colts aren't quite at the level to be able to win a conference championship yet. I think they need a couple more pieces but at least they've made some progress.

So, it looks like Rob Marinelli has been linked to a Dallas exit and that Tampa is looking at him. Now, if only the Cowboys can actually resign Dez and actually work on their defense.

Edit: I am aware this isn't Conference championship round talk, but it is still football talk happening this week.

Whelp, with the Buffalo hiring of Rex Ryan now made official as of a few minutes ago, I'm guessing Jay Cutler will be signed, traded, whatever for shortly as well.

And I have no interest in this year's Pats-Seachickens stuporbowel.
