Lol @ colts saying they used the seattle defense gameplan to beat denver. Too bad you won't be around for the actual seattle defense to crush you. One of the most mediocre defenses all season and now comparing yourself to seattle.

If the refs called half of the defensive holding, pass interference, and contact after 5-yards fouls they *SHOULD* be calling against Seattle, their defense wouldn't be anywhere as good as they are.

I've never seen a secondary get away with so much. Yeah, there are some good players in Seattle's defensive stable but a lot of what is making them "great" is the fact they hold, interfere, and generally bend/break many rules the entire game. Sad thing is many of these guys could be great without all the cheap shots and things they get away with.

Rodgers is the QB to beat them though. Here's hoping he's healthy enough to do so.

Oh this again. Seattle's defense is the least penalized defense in the league because the refs ignore all their penalties now? Clearly, the Illuminati is from Seattle...

This has been discredited quite a bit. Even last year someone went through Sherman's games and compared them to other top corners and he doesn't do any more contact than others.

Seattle was watched very closely this year and they were the least penalized Defense in the league by 20 penalties (SEA had like 71 and the next best was in the 90s). And a lot of those were procedural (neutral zone, etc.) and very few holding and PI. Sherman had 1 DPI and 2 holding in 16 games in 2014. Before the emphasis in 2013 Sherman had 5 DPI and 2 holding. So with the refs watching more he was penalized less.

The tin hat group would say because the refs are scared, biased, etc. But for those watching know Seattle played a lot more Cover 3 this year. When Browner was here Seattle mixed in a fair amount of Man Single Safety High. In Single High Seattle would use the 6-4 Browner and 6-3 Sherman to do a lot more bump and redirect but in their Cover 3 Seattle tends to play more off and flood/umbrella the under zone with 4 (3LB + 1SS). So Sherman played more off man with his face to the QB. Which meant less contact. This is where fans unfamiliar with the zone responsibilities were dead wrong about Sherman getting "torched" or "exposed" on a fair number of plays when receivers would cross the middle as most times the LB's job is to a) disrupt the route and b) prevent shallow completions as Sherman's job is over the top.

I know the narrative is Seattle pass interferes regularly but for 2014 it would be hard to show they are doing it more than anyone else and not getting called.

LOLOLOL! You're a little late. This is the same crying we heard all of last year. I've seen Seattle receivers get flat out tackled before the ball gets there and the refs look the other way.

I imagine when they thrash Gimpy on Sunday, it'll be because those big meanies were cheating.

From the Denver Post
The Broncos had not considered dismissing Fox, but became concerned by a Fox Sports report Sunday morning, a few hours before Denver's game against Indianapolis.

The report by Jay Glazer, a close friend of Fox, said that should the Broncos lose to the Colts, "could John Fox become available? If he is, he'll shoot to the top of many of these (head coaching candidates) list."

The Broncos became concerned that Fox was unhappy and was keeping his options open to coach elsewhere. According to a team source, the report "opened the door" to the meeting Monday between Elway and Fox.

I give the Pack about a 60% chance of beating Seattle. They just seem due to put a whooping on someone and have Jordy get back into form. They have lost 3 in a row to SEA also, and this game is redemption.

I was confident Seattle would beat a healthy Rodgers. It will be somewhat less satisfying for them to beat a quarterback as injured as Rodgers. In the vunerable condition that Rodgers is in right now, he is setting himself up for a career ending leg injury.

I missed out on the premium sideline ones.. considering going with the diamond package ones where you get food and everything. Over $1k USD for two though.

How often are you planning on doing this? I think it'd be worth it since you're on your honeymoon.

I just have trouble spending that money on teams that aren't mine.. I don't even spend half that on 49er tickets. But then again I am going for the experience. Hmm.

Edit: Noticed tickets between the goal lines and 30s in the lower bowl haven't gone on sale yet. May wait for those instead!

Fox already interviewing with Chicago.

Final head NFL ref decision on the catch was they didn't think Dez shifting the ball from one hand to the other and then stretching out for the goal line met enough of the "criteria" to be considered an additional football action, but the rule will be reviewed by the committee again this year. And since cowboys are on that committee, maybe it finally gets changed.

Funny article about the pro bowl. Normally the coaching staff of the highest seeded losers of divisional weekend get the honor, but since the Denver coach was canned and the Cowboy staff is not under contract, NFL deciding on who to send instead.

Mannings contract becomes guaranteed on 3/9, expect a decision before then.

Lacy had an asthma attack which kept him out of the game for awhile.

May the schwartz be with you, unless you live in Buffalo as the former HC and current DC bails after the Rex hire.

Adds on favorites now are Arizona DC going to Atlanta and Seachickens DC going to Jets. LeBeau supposedly talking with Kanga-Arian about the about to be vacant spot.

Dude from Miami can swim.

He's not so much "bailing". It was as much expected once Ryan was named as coach and Dennis Thurman was labelled as coming over in any capacity. It's disappointing, but Buffalo played in "Ryan's System" two seasons ago under Pettine and had a top 10 defense. I thought they had improved this season under Schwartz with a better fit for the personnel they had.

Either way, it doesn't really matter much unless Greg Roman can do something with the offense anyway.
