Imagine some evil scientists created a new chemical weapon called H-O-N, aka Hell-on-Earth. What it does is transform the living and dead into the undead. As a former Navy Seal, you have vast expertise with all modern military firearms. Unfortunately, as a current civilian, you've obtained information and evidence as to who is responsible for this occurance. To prevent this from further leaking out to the media and government, they have killed your children and kidnapped your wife. What they want is your life in return for her freedom. And yes, she really isnt replacable, you vagina. You decide to want to live and and rescue your woman so that she can get back to work in the kitchen. Plus, she has a trust fund large enough for you to buy AnandTech and ban the mods. hehe.
You have 72 hours to rescue her before the city is nuked. Everyone else is dead, so no help is on the way. All you have is a pair of jeans, a pair of converse, a black T, a kevlar vest, and a swiss army knife. All help is dead, and the city is under strict quarantine. There is a Type II zombie infestation all along the city, and you are safe nowhere.
Upon your search for your wife, you see a gunshop right across the street. You go inside, but all the guns have been taken, except one. The weapon that you see is the one of your choice. As for ammo, you obtain a backpack full of it. Plus, ammunition for your firearm is littered all over the city from dead soldiers, so the lack of it wont be an issue.
So, what firearm will it be? And be realistic here. No mechwarriors, tanks, lightsabers, or BFG 9000's. Pick only firearms that have been made and that works.
Personally, mine is the Beretta 90two .40 S&W caliber model. Sytlish, powerful, and easy to carry.

If Type II is the same as Class II mentioned earlier, then 20-100 zombies isn't really that bad. Why would you be safe nowhere? There's always rooms to build a barricade in.

A flamethrower isn't a very good choice since you have to destroy the brain to kill the zombie. Even if you blasted the zombie with a flame thrower it could still come after you, possibly catching you on fire, or the surrounding area your in, be it a house, or shrubs, whatever.

If the tank flipped upside down, would it collapse? I don't think so. So a big dino stepping on it wouldn't kill it, either. Those things are very heavily armored.
Plus, if there was any question, you could just move it out of the way.

Yea, but then the tank is still only supporting its own weight, not an additional 30 tons.
See said paint drawing. squishy The only way to convince me otherwise is to link me to a site that shows the tanks support structure can hold up another 30 tons. Or maybe a picture of an abrams under another abrams with no structural damage.

I suppose the dino likes to eat standing on one foot? Assuming said dino is leaning forward to eat, realistically there can't be more than 10 tons or so weighing down on the tank. unless of course the dino purposefully puts more than one foot on the tank...
edit: I would use a cell phone to call bruce willis. He rocks in these situations.

Nowhere. If a 30 ton dino steps on a 50 ton tank, the tank doesn't move. If the dino makes a concerted effort to move the tank, like trying to roll it over, that means the dino is trying to move something that weighs 20 more TONS than it does.
Not likely.
