I'd have to pick a P90. small rounds, but enough firepower to tear zombie brains up. And ammo comes in clips of 50, and they're small.

DAMN! That auto shotgun is pretty sweet. I'd probably have to take that or maybe a 44 mag pistol. Die zombies, die! Oh wait they're already dead...

fictionally... a light saber

IRL I would rather have a 2hand sword/axe, japanese sword than guns simply because I know I wont run out of bullets

Why are people always using guns. Commandeer an F350 with a plow on it and start speeding around the streets. Massive amount of blunt trauma to the head causes death in zombies, right? Well an F350 with a plow on it going 35-45mph should do the trick.

Finally a blade man. The thought that any type of ammo would be littering the city is ludacris. Sure it would be nice to waste them from a distance but eventually you will run out. As for the "ninja skills", this katana is not the traditional weapon of ninjutsu. However the ninja to would be somewhat inferior. Anything larger ie dai-katana or claymore would be too difficult in tight spots.

But to stick with the illusion, the weapon would have to be bayonet compatable with optional scope and both single fire and burst mode. HP ammo is a definite for tissue removal capacity. I beleive the AK-47 fits this profile but I'm not sure of any other models that may.

late to post, figured i would anyhow...

my weapon of choice would be to setup the zombie on a blind date from a fat friend-girl... in the guise that fat chics have unknown hot chic friends that they setup blind dates on with their non-judgemental guy friends (the kind who have fat chic friends).

The zombie would instantly disintegrate when he finally sees the girl after he got all setup for the date (saving money, dressing nice, buying a tacky gifst based on the little given forehand info on the girl).

The sheer miscalculation would render the zombie into a state worse than being Star Jones's dildo.

The blind date, if you are wondering, is a fatter and uglier version of your fat friend-girl.

$40 dollars down the tube... and now you have the fuglacious hound-pig calling you everyday.

It's a bitter, painful, slow and imminent death.

In accordance with the Zombie Survival Guide (yes, I've read it too - and I have a copy on my bookshelf)...

An SKS (IIRC, they recommend the M1 Garand over the SKS due to it's slightly more destructive shot, but I already OWN an SKS, and such vintage weapons as the Garand are difficult to come by).

The reasoning they use is that weapons of this nature have limited ammo capacities and are only semi-automatic. This prevents you from wasting ammunition in a panic (and if you need more than 10 shots to take down the zombies you're confronted with in a manner sufficient to create an escape path, you should be pointing the gun at your own head instead) - and yet have a round large enough to do the quantity of damage needed to hurt a zombie (zombies are not vulnerable to headshots - you need to remove a foot, or something, to immobilize them. You aren't going to kill them, that's nearly impossible.

M16 fitted with laser sight, scope, silencer, and M203 grenade launcher under the barrel. I would pack a couple smoke grenades for when I get to the evil scientist (I can become invisible!) By weight I would mostly carry clips of bullets rather than nades.

With a high quality sound suppressor, shooting doesn't have to attract the attention of a lot of zombies. With the time stipulation, the battery life on the laser sight isn't an issue. I'd still mostly fire in semi automatic mode rather than three round burst to minimize time spent reloading.

An uzi 9mm with fold-out stock or P90 might be better for close encounters, but my plan would be to avoid close encounters as much as possible, hence a quality assault rifle with all the options.

And when I catch that evil scientist, I'll kill him quickly, not out of mercy, but pragmatism. We know what happens when you stop to torture from the first Lethal Weapon movie and True Lies.

Aside: I just started my second time through resident evil 4, it's the first time in a long time that I've immediately wanted to replay a long game after finishing it. I sold my thermal scope to pay for the broken butterfly upgrades though, so I'll be using the shotgun to kill the first two regenerators again. It only takes about 10-17 shots depending on placement, speed, and firepower level. This time I sploited the chickens, I have two dozen eggs in my inventory. All you have to do is leave the area and come back and they lay again, you don't have to save and reset. Also, when I fought the cage match with the garrador the first time, after he killed me a dozen times in a row I retried again and instead of the garrador and a dude I only had to fight two dudes, which means I missed out on a 15k treasure drop but didn't have to keep dying.
