Yeah I was going to look for that ,I haven't yet added 'names joined' for those last 4mths of threads I've added.

I must admit the only other names I recognised was Dark majiq & Icecreamdan.
Whose AW & RW?

Yes, I do. But not the Springdales. I decided to just "get it done".
I bought,3 each, P4 2.66/533's, P4PE mobo's with 512 Crutial DDR CMX 2700LL AND
Finally going to Win XP. I have 1 machine up so far, but still running Win98se, the
rest will be up by Monday. Sometime in the 3rd quarter of "04" I'll go to Prescots (spell?).

ColinP was an original Team member too by the way.

I was Number 1 with 3 wu's a day for a few weeks. Heheh
I was running 3 166MMX Pentiums with 64 megs and 540 meg hdd's!
A year before, I had a Pentium 100 and a Pentium 90.

What are springdales anyway?
P4PE is that the single channel RAM chipset?
Nice rigs anyway ,I expect to see you higher in the weekly stats

If I were you I'd stick with Win 98SE

Awesome fleet you had to begin with

Springdales and Caterwoods are the new, 800Mhs chipsets for the P4.

P4PE is the Single channel DDR333 Asus boards for the P4. A few ideas
on optimum settings for a mild OC would save me a bit of time. 2.8Ghz
shouldn't be too hard. I got the wrong memory, (2.5 3 3 7), and wont
get the "good" stuff, (2 2 2 5), for a few more days.

Looks like a WU takes 4:30 with no oc, the "slow" memory timings, and
Win98se.

Why stick with Win98se? I keep hearing how "wonderful"(sic) XP is.
I assume I can strip most of the cycle wasteing crap out of it. The NT/2000
kernal should be more stable than 98, I would think...
