They already have. The 530A is currently being manufactured by OptoRite.

The only working coupon I see is a $15 off ones, if you have a $30 off $150 Staples coupon the price is $89.94 after rebate.

From reviews, Sony is one of the best. Liteon hasn't matured (as it did with CDRW) very well to this point on DVD+-R/RW (yet?).

Which store are you asking about? It's on-line now at Staples, but the ad says "Minimum 3 per store. While supplies last', so if you're thinking of doing a Office Depot PM to Staples do it early before Staples is OOS. It's also currently available on Office Depot web site but they always run OOS early Sunday morning and you can't do it in store pick up if the item is on back order.

No. I'm talking about getting it at Staples. I'd like to PM to Staples from OD, but I don't have a Staples within 100 miles of me, so I'm SOL on the price match. I'd be happy to get the drive for the $104 after rebates.

Could I possibly order this online from OD and then call OD.com for a price match tomorrow? I don't think OD.com will know that I don't have a Staples nearby. Then again, they'll probably see the coupon and say that I already got the lower price.

This sucks. The deals that I really want can't happen because we don't have all the stores in this area. I don't live in bumblef*ck county either. That's what pisses me off most.

Edit: It's not going to happen anyway because the sku is not available in my area for the Sony burner at OD. I can't do in-store pick up for Staples, so the only shot that I have is getting Staples regular sale price tomorrow online.

At Staples or OD?

I just picked one up at Staples.com. I used a $15 off $150 coupon (found elsewhere) and padded the order with some cheap paper clips, so I could use it. It's going to come to about $105.xx plus tax after rebate. Not bad. Not as hot as the OD deal, but oh well. I wanted this burner.

No OD close to home so I had to settle for Staples deal, but managed to convince the manager to honor $30 off $150 (with filler item). $89 for this drive is pretty darn good!
Plus I got almost 3 weeks to return it, just in case something better comes along in the next few weeks (although this is pretty unlikely to happen soon).

I got lucky today and got into this deal, even better.

Called around their price on the 510a is $149.94 from now on (I think a clearance price because of the 530a that is out). Stock is very low on it now, so you might have to call a few stores around your area or call the 800 number and ask them to see if they can let you know what stores in the area have the drive.

$149.94 (added a few things that I needed from staples but, will only quote the price of the drive)
-$30.00 ($30 off $150 coupon that expires today)
-$30.00
-$30.00 (When paid for it, the registar printed up 2 $30 mail-in rebates, one from Sony, one from Staples.)

Total price after all rebates: $59.94... Now that's a smoking deal.

If you wanted to get this deal, you have by the end of the day (11/26) to use the $30 off $150 coupon.

Awsome deal, installing it tonight.
