I'd just like to add, that I really like Apple's latest offerings. The latest iBooks are a good value and are damn sexy. Same with the iPod. Although the iPod's 90 day warranty seems like a big gamble (Go read the apple forums). Apple in general needs to beef up their customer service and warranty coverage. 2 or 3 years on the pc's should be standard, and a 1 year warranty on a $400 mp3 player should be a no brainer, but then again this is "Apple." Not your typical computer company. They figure their customer's are going to upgrade to the next best thing in a year anyway.
I've been to one of the Apple stores near my house and played with all the stuff, the iPod is awesome so is the iBook and OS X is a vast improvment over OS 9. While OS X still needs some work it does seem like a great alternative to XP.
I'll always have a PC around, I recently put together a 2Ghz P4 and it's great, but I'm definitely considering an iBook and an iPod. Just trying to justify the cost and the gamble on the warranty If the iPod dies on day 91, it's $255 to Apple to get the thing fixed (bleh).
