Why do knucklehead car nuts insist on gathering in public places (some may be private I'm sure), loiter, act like jackasses and then break stuff? Did they spend all their money on their cars and can't afford to pitch in for a track day?

If you hurt someone like that you should get your license pulled for 2 years and when you get it back you are completely limited in what vehicle you can own, which will be enforced by constant supervision. Sound draconion? It should.

I can see how you might come to that conclusion after seing NONE of the other cars there. :disgust:

Bah, everyone knows your 240SX ain't coo' unless you got an RB in it .

hahaha, I said in the OP that I was listening to the owner talk and came to the conclusion that he was a tard. Well, one of the things he said was how he was thinking of ditching the SR20 and going with an RB because they are so easy to swap and they just drop right in. I started laughing and had to walk away, I wanted to confront him but didnt want to start anything.

all the money he put in the car...he could have at least changed the rear tail lights to the 97-98 kouki version or invested money in driving school.

But why spend money to learn some skill when "looking" cool is so much easier?

That's a pretty small parking lot; it doesn't look like there's anywhere near enough room to do anything like this safely.

That's what I was going to post.

Where in the heck was the driver drifting and doing donuts? It doesn't look like there is any room at all.

Seems he was doing them next to the big ass tree.

LOL
Damn tree just jumped out in front of him!

I love the feel of a turbo .

drifting is is so ****** dumb... exact opposite what you should be doiing with a car on a road.

For standard driving, yes, but it's not bad for racing to come out of a turn with a faster exit speed.

if that was true, formula 1 drivers would kick their tail out in every turn. Break before the apex, roll hard into it and accelerate out... drifting is for ricers.

I actually looked under the hood of my car (Nissan Altima) for once and man... I've never seen such a sexy engine compartment! It just looked... fancy or something. VQ35 !

I'll check the pics out later, but I bet he needs 10cc's of Initial D stat!

I used to think the same way but there are so many more things you can do to turbos to make them faster, especially if it's boosted from the factory.

Yep, drifting is not the fastest way around a race track and it's extremely hard on tires and drivetrain components.

It was used so they would be able to get down a mountain faster

Also, I believe it's for show rather than performance. Kind of like doing tricks with your car instead of a skateboard or ice skating.

Another update:

The drive spoke to the guy that setup this meet and gave his side of the story. Apparently, according to him, he was not trying to drift, but just take the corner fast. He had super sticky tires in the rear and really crappy street tires in the front (after all the money he spent, I dont understand why he did this). He claims he was just trying to take the corner fast, but when you look at the video, you cant help but wonder what exactly he was doing, I mean, was he doing it with his eyes closed?
