I recently upgraded my machine with the following:

Athlon XP 1800
MSI KT333 Ultra
512M DDR (older stuff I'm not sure of the speed but I had to turn down some mem timings to have it run at 133 FSB)

paired with old:
Geforce 2 MX4xx
SB Live Value

I am looking to upgrade the video card with a budget of less than $200 hopefully around $150.
My current ideas are:
Geforce4 Ti4200
Geforce3 Ti200
Geforce4 MXxxx

What are your experiences/ideas with these setups?
Thanks in Advance

As long as you don't get the GeForce MX series, you're doin pretty good. I've had horrible past experiences with those stupid cards. If you got the money get the Ti4200, I heard many good things about it. Personally I use the Ti4400 and love it, but that's just because work gave it to me for free . Workin the IT Dept kicks ass.

I absolutly love my raedon 8500le 128mb...
A lot of people don't even consider it. but if you can live w/5-10 less fps. And like crisp viewing for everything else besides games... it's the way to go. I was not sure I wanted it at first but after using it would never doubt it again. And to top it off they just came out w/new drivers that make it even better.

oh ya bought it for 153.46 total out the door from newegg.

Despite owning a GeForce4MX440, I wouldn't recommend getting the GeForce4MX series unless your budget simply doesn't allow for anything higher, or you don't play any recent games. The GF4MX series performs very good on older game engines(Q3A, RtCW, etc), but due to its lack of DX8 support, it suffers in newer games. The GF3 Ti200 would be a better choice, and the GF4 Ti4200 an even better and expensive one. The Radeon 8500LE is also very good, and in many cases outperform the 2 cards from nvidia.

The Radeon may be sweet, but the 4200 should pretty much knock it out in most test... now the Ti200, thats a different story...

Go for the 4200, you will be happy
