I got my Pure 2 years ago for $300
I think I will need to upgrade this year.
Runs great, but hardware does fail eventually.

Samsung S8 ?
Moto X4 ?
Oneplus 3T ?
Moto Z Plus?
OnePlus 5 ?

I ordered a moto Z today from Verizon business. One of my users left and I ported her number out and got a different number for her iPhone 7 and the system gave the moto for free so I ordered it. I'll let you know tomorrow if it's decent or not.

Essential PH-1's price seems to be fluctuating downward lately. It was $350 the other day, which is the lowest price for an S835 device I have seen. The more S845 devices see the light of day, the lower S835 devices' prices will fall.

After playing with my Moto Z2 play I have decided to sell my workphone Google Pixel 2 and replace it with the Moto Z2 play. Its a really nice phone and is super thin and has a great screen. Feels very fast and is a joy to work on as opposed to the Pixel 2 which I find extremely boring. Waiting on my JBL speaker mod to come in. I would recommend at least a look at the Moto Z2 play.

Just replaced the battery in my Moto X Pure.
Capacity was at 1500mAh. Now, it's back to 3000mAh.
Pretty easy swap for $25. I got a curved battery.
Probably a fake OEM, but AccuBattery says it holds 3000mAh.

lol, I just got hand me down Nexus 6 from my parents Playing around with LineageOS now. Unsure if I want to keep it as 15.1 (O) or roll to more stable and mature 14.1 (N). I don't think there is anything in Oreo that I really need yet.

And I wouldn't characterize stock android as boring, it's a polished OS that works well, it has what you need without all the glitter. If you want glitter, go Samsung

Just did a factory reset on my Pure.
5GB free on the internal card.
New battery as well.
Still going strong, really hard to justify replacing this thing.

Had? Already replaced it?
Yeah, i had it for a while; just took advantage of the deal Fi had on the LG phones .Great phone for the price IMO. No case or screen protectorthe while time i had it; no scratches anywhere. Decent battery life, decent camera, and some of the Moto software was actually good.

Just checked; had it since December. Not long but i bought it because of some deal they had and traded in my old Nexus, ended up costing 174.

I have had the Moto X Pure since close to when it came out. It's just a tank that works great. Sure the camera is not a Hasselblad but.... The phone is one of the last from Motorola before Lenovo took it over. I loved the original logon splash. Lenovo (t-moble in my case) updated to android 7 a while back. Their splash sux in comparison. When I do find a reason to upgrade, I may look at OnePlus. For Christmas, I bought a Huawei Mate 10+ for my son. He loves it, can't find anything bad about that phone.

My battery is still going strong. Granted I'm not a heavy user but I can't justify replacing it yet. The only thing I don't like is the blackberry GOOD app that I use for work since my Company stopped using BB's which were reliable for mail and calendar. The BB GOOD app is horrible but it may be more how they wrote it for android.

I replaced my Moto X with a Moto G6 and it has been great. I don't need the greatest out there, and the G6 just does everything well.
