Upgrade option in Antec Aria

I have an Atnec Aria with an old board / Athlon 2700+ or something like that and I am starting to think about an upgrade. It seems new motherboards require a PS connector that has more pins than before. What are the options? The power supply is not standard size. I wonder if Antec has a replacement, but could not find it on the Antec site.

Also, will a 300W handle a small system? No need for a gaming video. I would move my PCI Video card over to the new system. I would go with a mid Intel CPU until the new lower power are main stream.

How many Amps does the PSU in that thing put out on the 12V rail(s)? It's on the label of the PSU. The pin count in the ATX connector generally doesn't matter - it just spreads the current draw over one more wire and yours won't be a high current system anyway.

. Antec has this PSU (AR-350) as a replacement: http://www.antec.com/Detail.bok?no=588 It is the 350 Watter that comes in the NSK 1380. Probably a lot better than the one in the Aria as it is 80 Plus rated with active PFC and probably OEM by Seasonic. Look for it on eBay as well - never know what you'll turn up there...

The PSU label indicates a hefty max current of 18A for the 12V line, and maximum combined power of 280W for the three lines. It's pretty good for a small PSU. The unit has Active PFC and auto-adjust input voltage for 100~240VAC, which makes it quite modern and up to date.

The 1380 has a modern 20+4 main connector but I couldn't find anything indicating the internal specs were different

Thank you for the comments. Now I have to decide what CPU and HSF, which has to be short. May be I will wait for the E8200.
