Ok so now that all the legalease is out of the way, I am currently using a Intel E8400 at stock speeds with 4GB of DDR2 RAM (built it to play Warhammer: Online). I would like to go with an I5 and 8GB of ram. My current setup gets bogged down when I have 2 clients of EVE Online open plus my normal 8-15 tabs of Chrome.

Looking for input for CPU, MB, RAM and potentially a decent Case and maybe PSU. I am tired of all the flashy lights and crap on my current case. So I would want something simple but ready to provide cooling for later when I decide to overclock.

Do you have a microcenter anywhere near? They have the awesomest CPU+mobo combos

I don't see a reason to not reuse the PSU.

Unfortunately the closest microcenter is 3+ hours one way. That might be an optional closer to Christmas as it is near a large outlet mall that the wife likes to go to for Christmas shopping. But for now I am pretty much stuck with Newegg and/or Amazon, etc

and I also recommend the coolermaster hyper 212+

i recently built a i5 2500k with an asrock z77 pro4 (kind of a frankenstein combo, caught both parts on instant deals) with the antec 300 and a coolermaster hyper 212+ and could not be happier with performance and temps.

Nothing wrong at all, the Z75 is cheaper but with that combo the Z77 ends up costing less so go for it.
