Upgrade to Directv HDTV service for $399, includes new dish and install

This is great. Mine is coming today and the installers are coming monday. I told the Customer service gal that I needed DVI for my set-up so I needed the Samsung reciever. She couldn't tell me which one was coming but she said to call back once I recieve it if I get the non-DVI model (hughes).

NOTE: DVI is the way to go if you have a HDCP compliant DVI input on your HDTV especially if yo have a fixed pixel digital set such as a LCD, DLP, or LCoS.

What did you have the installers do for $600??

The dish, OTA, installation, running several new cables through the house and supplies. I actually think I got screwed, but I use a Directv provider, not Directv themselves. I will be switching soon though, because these idiots can't get their act together and provide HD ESPN.

According to Sears, DishNet HD PVR systems are supposed to be on shelves in 30 days. (They demo'd these in the spring, but wouldn't let me beta it for them! :Q)

Do note that I've only heard about the release date from one source, and have not confirmed it with anyone I would consider official.

Edit: crap, just reread this is Dishnet, but it probably also means that Directv sets are coming soon too.

Once you started experiencing HDTV, you never wanted to watch regular TV.
