Upgrade to the 7900???

i have a 7800 BFG OC its a 256mb.......i was wondering if i should upgrade to the 7900 512???? is it worth it???..money isnt that big of a issue

Strikes me as an odd combination of words!

If money is no issue, buy two 7900BFG 512s and SLI them together... then stick the 7800 into the fireplace and light it with a lit roll of 100-dollar bills, then toss the 100-dollar roll of bills into the fireplace and laugh like a maniac... then jump in your olympic-sized swimming pool behind your mansion for a swim... have your butler bring you French wine and Russian Caviar... go ahead, you're stinking rich!

If money actually IS an issue, stick with the BFG 7800 you have now. There is little justification to go from a 7800 to a 7900... I seriously doubt you'd notice much of a differance.

i cant use sli cuz its not supported by all games yet....but if i get the 7900 ill get another 7800 and sli in my old comp.....with is still ill

im not CPU limited i got a P Extreme with 3 g of ram.....i will spring for a new card maybe in 6-9 months...........


games dont matter...i mean more do i see a diff in like HL2, D2, BF2, COD2, and maybe Q4.................im CAL P Counter Strike

the max any game i play supports.....thats not the problem....im just a e1337est....i like having the 1337 ******...i work at mirco center so i get stuff mad cheap.......i was just wondering if its worth it..or should i just wait 6-9 months when DX10 cards are available??

Dude, you have no clue. If you think a blinged out car is what it takes to impress people once you're older than oh 16, you are in for a serious shock.

My stang is one of 500 made that year. It's fun, fast, I love the 5 liter sound and even though I can get something better there's no point -- I'm not going to blow a quarter million dollars for a GT40 or a million and change for a McLaren F1. And anything less than that won't get me the biggest carpeen on the planet anyway. There will always be someone with more money (unless I'm Bill Gates) so the whole materialistic competition for mates thing is an end lose.

As far as the Broncosaurus Rex, once again it's huge fun per gallon. It's the last of the carbureted 351s, and is pure joy to tinker, work on and just generally bum around in. Anything that breaks or I break offroading is like $20 at the parts store. And the top comes off.

One of these days you'll figure out optimizing for what makes YOU happy vs. what you think will impress others is the true win. Until then, you'll be a tool who falls for every marketing gimmick that comes along. Which is a good thing, this planet needs more of you to subsidize MY lifestyle.

no not yet......ill tell you when we do.....we get ****** laste sometimes........we got teh P Extreme really late like high end cards come in really late......if you ask the mirco center near you..you can have them order it
