jjs1969: I read that entire old thread and all I came away with was that the RAM MIGHT work. Some people got it working, others did not. Espically those using the RAID version had more problems. So how bout you shut your cake hole unless you've got something useful to say, aight?

Anyone wanna trade me (2) sticks of this ram for (1) stick of Mosel Vitalic PC143 Rev2 Cas2 and maybe some cash? LMK, thanks! I don't need the performance of the Mosel, just need cheap ram. Thanks again.

i have 3 sticks of the triangle stuff from UpgradePlanet, both my MSI K7T Pro2 A and MSI K7T Turbo-R recognize the full 768 mb and it runs fine for me. im definatly satisfied. 8 months ago you paid 200 for 1 stick of 128 now everyone can have a gig of ram in their system for cheap: )

Thats cool, on the syncmax.pdf it says the the MSI board wouldnt support 3 Dimms of this stuff. My guess is they tested on an earlier release of this board?

I think my order went in Tuesday night (so they got it Wed morning), they shipped Friday. So as mentioned, they aren't the fastest to get it in the mail... but they deliver.

I have built two systems with this Mystery Triangle(?) RAM, and had no problems whatsoever with it. Both systems were based around the MSI K7T Pro2a motherboard, with the only difference being the amount I installed in each (512MB in one and 256MB in the other).

No issues here, and I have two very satisfied customers!

Bump. $46 on Tuesday. Damn, should have waited a week It went down $10 in 7 days!!! I thought $56 was good last Tuesday!

NOTE: THey will NOT let you get the new price after you order. Live with it, prices change daily with UP... that is why their prices are so HOT right now.

I also notice the PIII-700 with 100Mhz FSB is down to $132!!

RossMAN -- I still think you deserved it for that thread THe thread this started with is no longer active in AnandTech, so no choice

My (2) 256 MB modules arrived today. The chips were marked as follows:

USA
32X4Y3VTW - SS

I haven't installed them yet, so nothing to report in terms of working condition, though.

Hey, I'm a software developer and doing a lot of work on live web servers. (( I do hard core stuff, not the flaming logo crap ))

3 monitors is nice. I can control a server (3000 miles away in Florida, I'm in Seattle) on one screen with Windows Terminal Server or PCAnywhere... editing on a second screen, and testing the code on a third. It really improves my productivity.

I used to have 3 or 4 computers, but this way no need to switch keyboards or use a KVM switch.. I can move the mouse and do whatever I want

1GB of RAM helps keep all that crap running at same time

A system like this can be put together for under $1200 if you use the deals here on Anandtech and get good deals. The Sun 20" monitors sell refurb around here for under $150 ...

SirDante: I've never worked with that board, but it took me 10 seconds to search on Google.com and found this Review of DFI TA64-B

Given it is a Via PRO133a, it should work great with this RAM... I run my Asus P3V4X (same chipset) with 2 of them + 2 Micron no problem (switching to all 4 of the cheap UpgradePlanet stuff as soon as my order comes).

I still disagree because most people (on 56k modems) don't want to wade through 198 posts.

Anyhow we're even now and here's a free bump for your thread

Damn, I bought a stick of this when it was like $72. I can't believe it came down this much this quickly. Maybe I'll sell it and buy 2 more. Works fine for me at cas3.

I've now had 512 MB this memory for about 5 days running on my Asus P3V4X motherboard with a Celeron II @ 850 MHz. I've kept the setting for the memory at 'by SPD' and haven't attempted to run @ CAS-2, yet. Some of my observations are as follows:

I had some lock-ups with my system with this new memory. Previously, I had 192 MB of Micron 8E memory (which was attached to 3rd party PCBs). I was running my CPU at 1.70 volts with the older memory. After I noted quite a few lock-ups, I bumped the voltage to 1.75 volts for my CPU. Now, for the past 3 days, my system has never locked up - and I've been beating on my system pretty hard (for example, I downloaded 340 MBs of files over a 17 hour period), plus utilized several applications that *love* memory such as Photoshop and Excel while utilizing quite large files.

Overall, I'm very happy with my experience with this memory and even more happier with the price that I paid.
