Hi All:
Apologies for another upgrade thread but I was hoping to get the perspective of some of the regulars here as I am thinking of upgrading from a 4770k @3.9MHz. Independent of any decision I make regarding upgrading my CPU, I plan to purchase a 1080Ti at some point over the next month or so.
The only demanding use of the system is for gaming. I do, however, almost always have Citrix open for work and usually will also often have a browser open and perhaps a video or two while gaming.
Although I had been considering upgrading to a 7700K as I'm principally concerned with gaming, I was wondering if my use of Citrix and other miscellaneous applications while I'm gaming makes it that I actually would benefit from the increased cores/threads of, for example, a 1700.
Thanks, in advance, for any insight you all might be able to provide.
