Upgrading from BFG 6800GT Ultra PCI-E

Hello all,

I'm upgrading my video card, mostly because I fried it from not having enough cooling in my case... not to mention the fan that comes with it is really crappy. Wondering what you guys would suggest for a modest upgrade to this card..... any specific manufacturer would greatly help as I would like to make sure the card is reliable. Thanks in advance.

Mobo is an Asus P5ND2-SLI Deluxe with a 3.2 P4.

Looking to spend no more then 300ish. Thanks again.

How about an EVGA 7900GT reloaded? The new revision fixes the memory issues that have plagued the 7900GT since the beginning. You also get a lifetime warranty from a first rate company.

Or that one connect3D X1900XT with the $100 MIR. Too bad the 7900GT KO above doesn't have a MIR.

Thats just about my price range.... i'm usually an Nvidia type of guy myself but i'm definatelly up for trying new things. Anyone with other ideas?

Well...maybe you could get a 7600GT now and wait later this year for the new cards to hit the streets.

I was looking at the 7900 GT, which looks great, excepts its out of stock at this moment. 8(

1) Get warranty for your card. No need to buy a new one. Or get warranty and sell this card and but a new one.

2)For your budget you will get a 1900XT, around 320$ or so.
In order of my preference

1900XT>512 1800XT>512 7900GT>1800XT>7900GT>7800GTX
